A Two Seaters jet crashed near Jinan Shandong province on May 6. The pilots were trying to avoid the plane to hit houses on the ground. They delayed to bail out. One pilot was killed while the another one was ejected to safety.

The airplane was possible a Su-27 or J-11.

If it was a two-seater ... then it can't be a J-11 or Su-27SK ... at best a Su-27UBK or Su-30MKK.

challenge

Banned Idiot
FWS-10.
Russia has refused to provide AL-31Fs for any J-11B variants, so the domestic engine is the only option. As we know, there is no purchase of any AL-31F in recent years. J-11B are in production for both PLAAF and PLAN...

the big problem is that russia refusal to provide China not to mention client a technological knowhow to maintain and repair the engine and aircraft itself.this is sharp contrast, to US or europe, any countries purchasing US jet, either military and commercial come with package deal ,allowing the her client to maintain, fix and repair the engine.only in severse situation was the aircraft send back to US.
according to Chinese sources, when China send back some SU-27SK for repair, the fee charge for repairing a single aircraft nearly as expensive as a new one!

In the first picture is that a J11B or a J11BS? Is that a blue stripe on it????

clearly a J-11B powered by a WS-10A or FWS-10A ... besides, what does the F mean ??

But this seems to be a twin seater ....

Sorry, it was not a Su-27 twin seater. It was a J-7 trainer.
