It seems like this is over now, it will likely die down over the next few days. Unlike 2019 this seemed like a true skirmish, just short of a full-scale war.

What can Pakistan learn from it?

Another aspect of Indian weapons procurement that the Indian military should re-examine is their AWACs procurement. India went the route of importing large, expensive AWACs in small numbers, resulting in an AWACs fleet that they could neither afford to lose nor easily replace in case of loses. PAF, on the other hand, went the route of procuring a smaller and less capable, yet attritable platform and in sufficient numbers. While PAF was able to utilize their AWACs to great effect, IAF was likely hesitant to risk deploying their AWACs in harms way.

What can Pakistan learn from it?
1. Hypersonic, non ballistic missiles of over 400-500nm capable of evasive maneuvers with high single launch hit probability.

2. Long range high altitude disposable drones with loitering capabilities.

3. Keep building up AD density, keep adding layers across the spectrum.

4. More Hardened PAF bases. Pakistan has narrow geography but is also blessed with mountain ranges across the North and Western Geography. Lets not discount the cards we have.

5. J-35s

6. Stealthy CCAs, capable of independant SEAD.

7. Keep building up the edge PK has like network centrism, EW, AWACS, datalinks etc.

8. Able to react immediately, no need to wait 2 days.

9. PL-16s/17s, no need to announce these publicly. Let their AWACS also eat shit next time.

If economy can be stabilized with 3-5% growth, these can be afforded over a period of 10 years.

Pakistani annual military budget is less than $10 billion. It can not afford to do everything at once. Pakistan needs to focus on catching up economically and building up its industrial base. Internal security and stability should be bigger concerns than external threats.

We do have a video of a missile hit on Pakistan’s nuclear weapons storage facility. One would expect it to be well defended by GBAD.
Perhaps this was the alarming intel mentioned by US government? If true, this is an incredibly reckless and irresponsible move by Indian military. The commanders that authorized the strike should be immediately sacked.

RCS reduction features meaningless for aircraft carrying multiple missiles on exterior of aircraft. Even more so if some of the said missiles were big heavy cruise missiles.
It’s not meaningless in an air-to-air configuration.

But yes, if carrying fuel tanks and heavy weapons and presenting its side to the enemy radar the RCS will be substantial.

101 found in their simulation that the air-to-air configuration with 4 Meteor missiles had half the RCS of the air-to-ground configuration and was only marginally worse compared to a clean configuration.

Pakistan needs drones, drones and more drones.

Drones are cheap to use and effective too. Pakistan can sends tons of them to every reachable Indian military installations. India then needs to shoot them down with expensive missiles or get hit by them. It is a good way to grind down India's air defence systems.

Absolutely! CM's and BM's should be used later in the conflict and I believe that's probably why Pakistan didn't use any of the BM's and CM's (Pakistan has a wide array of options from short range to medium and long range for both CM and BMs). I assume they kept them in case the war expands. As luck would have it, Pakistan happens to be close friends with two of the top drone manufacturers, China and Turkey.
