Trump 2.0 official thread

Ukraine deal signed.
It's pathetic enough that the US tried bully Ukraine, a country that started on the terms, "Sign this or you're Russian now," but what's sadder is that Trump actually failed to bully them! The end deal was nowhere near what Trump wanted. That's like selling a spare tire to a guy with a flat during a zombie apocalypse and somehow ending up on fair market price LOLOL

"Ukrainian officials touted the final accord as an equal partnership between Kyiv and Washington – a notable shift from some of the earlier drafts which were described by Ukraine’s leader President Volodymyr Zelensky as the US asking him to “sell my country.”

The signed deal, seen by CNN, does indeed appear to be more favorable to Ukraine than some of the previous versions.

Crucially, the deal does not call for Kyiv to reimburse the US for the aid it has already received – a key concession from Trump who has long framed the agreement as Ukraine “paying back” the US.

Washington initially demanded a $500 billion share of Ukraine’s rare earths and other minerals in exchange for the aid it has already provided to Kyiv. When Zelensky rejected that idea, Trump called him “a dictator.”

Instead, the agreement that was inked on Wednesday says that future American military assistance to Ukraine will count as part of the US investment into a joint reconstruction investment fund that will be used to pour money into Ukraine’s natural resources.

The deal gives the US preferential rights to mineral extraction in Ukraine and states that Kyiv will have the final say in what and where is being mined. Ukraine will also retain the ownership of the subsoil.

“All resources on our territory and in our territorial waters belong to Ukraine. It is the Ukrainian state that determines where and what to extract,” said Ukraine’s Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who signed the deal on behalf her country."
Nothing surprising here.
Neither is the recession just happening. But what was actually surprising was finding out the Trump doesn't know the general jist of the Declaration of Independence, despite the name.
One done. A lot more to come. Expect India, korea to sign soon.
As I said before, just like Ukraine, I expect probably all of them to eventually sign something, but not what Trump envisioned. The US needs waterfall advantages, to move the line by miles, not little tugs and pulls that move the current line around in inches. And with America's recession and China's resilience, countries are enboldened to push back until the final document signed is just a matter of face-saving for the US. Even China will likely eventually pick up Washington's call and let them off the hook normalizing trade relations, but not before extracting its pound of flesh from the US economy for its historical folly.

If the deal in its original form was signed, it would've been a bad deal..........for America in the long run. It would've made Ukrainians resentful of America, and overtime push them towards Russia or China.

The modified deal is a much better one. Ukraine is now fully under U.S sphere of influence. Win for Ukraine cause thats also what they want.

Win for US, since US secured a host of advantages that goes beyond minerals, gas, oil, etc....

Shoot for the stars, land on the moon. Had Trump just asked for this deal from the onset, he might've received something less.

That's some good mental gymnastics cope there.

Shoot for the stars, land on the moon.
Looking at what was signed, it's shoot for the stars, land on a small hill.

STOP the press, Trump has just issued an alert!

No, he hasnt got Xi on the phone.

Nope, not that other thing; he, like Hegseth earlier, is on the Iran train (Hegseth was saying Iran will pay for their support to the Houtis, so is this from Trump the consequences Hegseth alluded to?).

Is this to intimidate Iran ahead of final talks, or is this gonna stick

LOLOLOLOLOLOL OMG you are hilarious!! Yeah ok and when Trump fails in the rest of his negotiations it will all be for the same reason as you just stated. When he capitulates to China, it will also be because it's much better to not piss China off too much LOL

We started this shit with Ukraine completely under America's sphere of influence. You think they're not pissed off about how Trump talked to Zelensky? If anything, they view American less favorably than they ever did.
Win for US, since US secured a host of advantages that goes beyond minerals, gas, oil, etc....
This is so watered down, Biden could have just asked for it and they'd ok it. After all the US did, why wouldn't they give the US preferential treatment over other countries when selling their resources?
Shoot for the stars, land on the moon. Had Trump just asked for this deal from the onset, he might've received something less.
Trump shot for the stars; the missile came back down on his house LOL And you said that's perfect because actually hitting the stars would have made aliens hate him.

I don't know that the American had this fascination with Bondage, I thought only the Japanese had this habits.
Is this a "let them eat cake"moment with dolls comment ?If so why do all your billionaires including Trump need more money? There is no food,no car,no drink ,no pleasures they can't indulge in... yet they want to deprive the ordinary everday Americans wanting to buy at Xmas some toys for their kids /something for themselves and NOT being billionaires need to spend the next 3 months paying it off -if they still have a job next year that is.No empathy nor compassion for even their own-quite telling.

The bad news — I was going to buy my son a Halloween costume last year before the tariff nonsense.

The good news — I was going to buy a Space X spacesuit…
