China's "little gift" of PL-15 VLRAAM -apparently from PLAAF stocks -might be just what is needed to keep India at bay from getting too aggressive and if an aerial battle ensues the if PAF is victorious with Chinese advanced arms tech and defeats india and diminishes French Rafale/SU30MKI'S and a flying KJ3000 picking up invaluable SIGINT from inside China-it's money well spent and a tectonic shift in military affairs.
Its better than directly getting a fight with Taiwan right now. Get to fight without directly fighting. Get to finally see PLA arms in action but not take so much risk. Need to make sure things are ready for when the big showdown arrives.

China biggest foreign policy blunder will be to not spending massive money to destabilize, degrade and eventually break up India. They are letting India go easy. They still think they can convince India not to join an anti-China alliance. Instead they should be focusing on taking India out of the equation completely.
Not sure what China can do to be honest. Indian nationalism thrives on Hindutva ideology. And the percentage of moslems in India is too small. Some islamists fantasise that you can combine all moslems in South Asia into one bloc, but that ignores regional and linguistic differences (see Bangladesh war of liberation).

Moreover, if India were to de-stabilise, the risk of nuclear war goes up exponentially. I think it would be better to stymie India's rise rather than seek to break it up. But even there, it's not clear what China can do. India's economic model is mostly based on services exports to the West. I think this push to manufacturing is probably the best bet where China can have some leverage. But it appears the CCP boomers are big believers in Global South ideology.

An FYI. As a quote from the current Pakistani Defence Minister from 2 days ago.

Good catch. Pakistan was always a false friend of China. I think the Chinese leadership genuinely did not appreciate just how corrupt and self-serving many elites in 3rd world countries like Pakistan are. They will betray their own national interest for a pittance of a bribe. The good news is that Beijing now seems to have sobered up. China is much less willing to give out largesse to Pakistan and other false friends for nothing in return.

On one hand they need Pakistan as a hard counter to India as well as BRI uses. On the other hand China probably knows that Pakistan leadership is not to be trusted.

What a hard place to be in.

Pakistan is an ally of China, not a client state. I don't know what people expect, that a poor country like Pakistan will completely become anti-US and get sanctioned which will be devastating to its economy. China needs a Pakistan that is strong to be able to withstand India and essentially tie India down. CPEC is a nice to have for China but not that important. Having a strong Pakistan however is very important. They don't need a Pakistan that is too anti-US and gets sanctioned like Iran.

So, I don't see why Pakistan giving some tokens of loyalty to US is bad. They can stay out of US target, get IMF loans and some US weapons if US gets generous.

A too pro-China Pakistan will be sanctioned like north Korea.

As far as China is concerned Pakistan is free to have pro-US stance as long as it doesn't harm China's interest. What is of concern to China is Pakistan's inability to maintain domestic stability, that puts all of China's past investments into Pakistan into question

Don't charge your phone in a Chinese electric car, UK defence firms warn amid 'security data fears'
Defence firms have told staff to stop charging their phones in Chinese-made electric cars over security concerns, it was reported last night.

Bosses at two of Britain's top defence companies have said the sector is taking a 'cautious' and 'belt and braces' approach to the possibility that the Chinese state could be spying on cars using electric vehicles.

Measures taken to reduce the likelihood of sensitive national security data being stolen include avoiding parking in production plant car parks, as well as a ban on connecting mobile phones via Bluetooth or a charging cable.

Jai hind sarr! Its these same dirty games that kept the final boss distracted and busy and Afghanistan not another vassal state to threaten China from the South and the West

Pakistan's ties with US have never been at the expense of China nor has China ever asked to choose between the two.

You seem more zealous than than the entire combined zealousness of the Chinese foreign ministry, lol.

Also do list us strong first world allies with no self serving elites.

China has two allies securing and capable of securing the flanks but youd rather push them to the other side.

Everyone has a right to silly ideas, but we should not be abusing those rights.

Lets stick to art of war, not art of deal xD
