Wait a second. No where in the article does it say that the test vehicle was successfully launched. How could this be?

Isn't this all old news and pictures? The only thing new about it if this is an official report is now we know what it is. Before there was some speculation it was a scramjet test.

The problem is although the title says that the Chinese space plane had a successful test flight the article said that info. regarding the space plane was still speculative. In fact the rest of the photos on the article consisted of American endeavors like the X-37. Looks like a case of biao ti dang:mad:!!!

p.s. I highly doubt that the vehicle is a scramjet. Can't find intakes on the bird.

Well, today's Xinhua net news clearly announced in the headline that: "Our space/atmosphere experimental prototype succeeded in its maiden flight...", but the news article under that head is an introduction and compliment to "comrade Wang Tseun", 40, for his achievements in this area as the director of 空天技术与无人机设计研究部临近空间飞行器总体研究室 (Space/Atmosphere technology & UAV Design/Research Div. of the Near Space flying Vehicle Department).
No mention of how did it land, and photos are those already seen in the internet since 2007.

China officially confirms the existence of the AShBM

According to a Chinese article, just like US intelligence claimed, China plan to use a version of DF-21 IRBM to carry on the anti-ship warfare task.

The author of this article is a vice-project director of one key research department in China Aviation Industry Corporation:

"中国航天科工集团四部副总指挥 王根彬"

In case you can read Chinese, the whole article is here:
