The tailsting on F-22 is part of the nozzle. 2D TVC nozzle is made of four plates, the inner side plate is the sting, the outer plate is symetric in size and shape to the sting. This differs to tailstings of all other aircraft including FC-31 and J-35 where the sting is just a gentle finishing off of the fuslage.
The original question was about "why there is a tailsting"/"taisling indicate 2D TVC", instead of "why having 2D TVC".
Seems to be a photo of the J-35's underside.
The red circle was not done by me, but by the image poster seemingly indicating the position of the tail hook housing.
Interestingly, I could only find the post through someone else quoting it, but not in the OP's account. So he could've deleted it.

I find it even more amazing since it proves there are clear high-resolution close-up images available!
Do we have satellite photo to determine J-35 dimension?
Some said it's 17.5m x 13.4m
If that's the case, given F-22 is 18.92mx13.56m, J-35 is 93% length and 99% width of F-22, almost the same.
If WS-19 is as powerful as claims, combine with 3D printing to reduce weight and parts, is possible to achieve the similar power to weight ratio as F-22 ?
or similar super cruise capability as the aspect ratio is very close to F-22?
Are we looking at a duplicate raptor without the side bay?
By duplicate I mean air superiority focus and same if not longer range.

You can measure its dimensions approximately on google earth if you check the Wuhan carrier land based mockup/integration facility.
Large wings make it look very F-22esque from this angle.
