I'm not getting what you're trying to explain. Could you rephrase it?
The user is saying that there may be openings that a sniper can't shoot through due to the wall blocking the scope. In response to this, the snipers in this case turn the rifle 90 degrees to use the scope. TLDR: The sniper use this form to shoot through a short and wide opening.

Ignore the arrows, just focus on the small hole and the gap it's high enough for the barrel but not the scope thus the scope, will be blocked by the wall, unless you turn it sideways you sacrifice more horizontal than vertical space

Then they need to find a better opening instead of worrying about compensating for the cant. Sure, in a pinch, that might work for shorter ranges if you're an infantryman. If you're a sniper, you'd be better off finding a different location altogether.

And if they can't?

If they can't, they can't. Find something else to do. With that much canting, you're gonna be ineffective at sniping distances anyway. So either find a better spot where you can level your rifle, or just do nothing.

I think there's some utility in being familiar with odd firing angles and doing a bit of training for it, however taking photos of it and choosing to use those for PR is always a bit odd and is a reflection of poor taste from the photographer/person who signed off on its use for PR.

I swear to god I had this rant on this same thread last year but those CCTV and photographer people are borderline traitors with how generally sh*t they are with their choices of pictures to take. May be the "fool you agency" but I hate them nevertheless. Rant over.

It's just one of the interesting traits of PLA watching, I don't think there's any particular reason to feel emotive about it.

Just second-hand embarrassment, and it is just a problem that can be easily fixed but no one seems to want to fix it which annoys me. No biggie, just a personal issue.
