That's like me slapping a row of electrically-charged magnets on a fishing boat and shooting a toy car out of it, then claiming I have successfully conducted the world's first offshore electro-magnetic catapult launch from a conventionally-powered vessel.

What, is there video of anyone else having done it? No? "Yay me" then.

Here is a video of Chinese fire fighters using a similar device in a fire fighting exercise.

We had a video of shooting on the sea from PLAN?
As there's no video flood (aside from someone explaining how it works - "a row of electrically-charged magnets", try it at home!- and a video of "similar device") we can assume they were right in that assumption?

Japan will procure 12 new FFMs (upgraded Mogamis) in the 2024-2028 period, i.e. 5 years.

12x 054B-sized FFGs in 5 years means 2.4x FFGs per year.

Interesting whether it will have any impact to PLAN planner to how many to build 054B

12x new FFMs is quite high number and very fast build ... time will tell whether it will be the case to have 12x in 2028

There is little doubt the Japanese can achieve this since they are already doing it. They are launching 2-3 of these ships a year. They launched 3 in 2021 and 2 in 2022.
