Unmanned Combat Ground Vehicle

This robot dog seems to be AI enabled. It could traverse rugged terrain and could not only identify and fire at target but also check for potential vital signs.

Dare say that it is more practical than the Unitree knockoffs that we’ve seen from supposed military super powers.
C'mon, it still only packs 30 rounds, can't reload by itself.

Similar tech is used in robotic guide dog.

It needs to sneak silently instead of tapping all the time.

Being not stealthy also has its benefits. Choose to ignore the bot and get shot or shoot the bot and give away your location. The bot can also act as a distraction to keep attention away from the troops creating blind spots.
Indeed, urban combat is so damaging to the attacker due to the surprise attacks by defenders.

You walk down the street, 2 randoms suddenly appear in windows/alleys, they mass fire and then slip away.
Or you open a door, and the guy there immediately opens fire or blows up himself

With these kind of robots, you send them in a block, set up your acoustic sensors, and whenever you hear a gunshot and one of your robot losing connection, you automatically trace it by its last known GPS location and acoustic signature of the shot, and you call artillery to level the building.

No need to send precious manpower. Just send your robot dogs, and use artillery at whatever poses a threat to you

No reason why those dogs can't also be fitted with flashbangs and maybe grenade launchers. Surely their sensors would be less affected by someone with mark 1 eyeballs and ears.

I guess they are dispensable.

Some renders from Kestrel Defense that shows the company's robotic dog mounting a QJS-161 machine gun. Kestrel Defense says the dog can carry 200 rounds of ammo in this configuration.

A laser pointer for artillery would be nice on these kind of system, they are low profile and can be left in place to just wait until targets present themselves. Sound/motion sensor could bring selfactivation and alarm for the operator. You just put some explosive on them to use if captured.

Could even drop them from drone or helicopter.
