Jai Modi.It is not easy to understand because people have not studied Gulf Arabs. just like people were posting India blocking BRICS expansion and not have a clue. Are you suggesting that the Arabs are planning to intentionally build a far less efficient trade route to spend their vast wealth, and to counter B&R?
I get that they would like options, but building a far less efficient alternative when access to the primary option isn't at risk makes no sense, no matter how you spin it. Besides, they already have control in that region and the primary route is already used by everyone.
The new option isn't at all appealing to parties outside of the initiative. At the end of the day, unless the Arab and Indian govts are willing to run the new route at a loss to get customers, companies won't use it, and subsidizing the new route won't be sustainable in the long run.
