I didn't say they do, but it requires the onsite physical presence of both vessels(aircraft/ship/dingy/submarine/floating car/etc) to fit the naval textbook definition of the piracy. This is just the US government calling up the greek shipping company and telling them to divert the tanker. It's a form of seizing cargo, but not a high-seas piracy form of seizing cargo.

Maybe China should act like the Chinese don't need the West... Every time China tries to play kumbaya using the tactic that everyone needs each other, all that tells the West is how much China needs them because China is admitting it. The West doesn't admit that hence why they went through the whole "decoupling' and "cancelling" nonsense. Just look at how the Biden Administration acted when China didn't take their calls. Take a look at how the West is changing verbiage from "decoupling" to "de-risking". Why? Because they're afraid China will decouple from them. The West is essentially banning anything they have that China can't get anywhere else. Which means anything they want and are willing to sell to China so they can make money from the largest market in the world... China can get from somewhere else. That's what they're afraid of. These people are not grand strategists hence why they didn't think about their actions all the way through.
If you've notice every group that complains about white racism are looking to be accepted by whites so they can all live together in peace and harmony. And if you look at Asians they look to be accepted by the most racist right-wing whites because to them if you can get them to accept you that's the real prize and for some it makes them think they're closer to be white more than ever. You don't see white extremists seeking to live in peaceful coexistence with non-whites because they find non-whites worthless if they're not serving them. The criticism Biden is getting from them is they don't want the US begging for a call from China because they want to act like they don't need China so China comes begging to them. Just look at how much North Korea bugs them. They laugh and taunt North Korea as being the most isolated country in the world yet they're always going back to get annoyed by them. The goal of the West is to make everyone think the West is important to their lives so you don't do anything against them. You can't do that if you're not included. That's why they always go back to be bothered by North Korea. Just imagine if China, one-fifth of the human population on Earth doesn't bother? The West would absolutely go crazy if China didn't bother thinking about them. You saw a small taste of that when China didn't call...

If you're refering to the JARI USV, then will need to be enlarged. Other than providing SHORAD, it can also provide shore bombardment support with ship-mounted howitzers and/or rocket artillery systems.
Though, if the warship is meant to accompany the landing forces during amphibious assault operations, then modifying the 072A LSTs would do, IMHO. Make the LSTs modular-capable for multi-mission-capable, etc.
The 056/A doesn't have sufficient dimensions, displacement and endurance required for "true blue" convoy escort and ASW missions beyond the 1IC.
A surface combatant with size of (at least) 053H3 or 054 will be needed.

USVs don’t need crew quarters, cafeteria, kitchen, warehouse nor working areas. Those spaces can be used to store fuel. 056 size ship can have pretty good range.
