Ok, I vented.

It takes me 4 hours by ICE (!) train (German HSR) from my hometown to my university.

That is roughly the same time the HSR takes from Beijing to Shanghai.

Difference is, that my travels are under 400km distance and Beijing-Shanghai are over 1300km apart...

Therefore I moved to where my University is. Now I pay 550€ rent sans energy costs per month for 38 square meters.

The average monthly income of students in west of Germany is 930€.

German efficiency.
