Jensen Huang and those other companies are actually even more proof of the fact that anglos and white westerners simply hate fear Asians. If those guys were white they would be almost infinitely more popular and well liked than Elon Musk at his height or Mark Zuckerberg. Instead they're relegated to...background status (for a billionaire of course).

1st generation East Asian immigrants always have been disadvantaged in both language and culture compared to Indians, especially upper class ones, who are educated in accordance to the British system.

On the other hand one can say compared to Indians, East Asians, particularly Taiwanese, have definately had more success in terms of entrepeneurship such as founding Nvidia, Zoom, Yahoo, and DoorDash. So building off @SDtom's point its really about consolidating the collective efforts of East Asian Americans to build influence and solidify the community's standing.

Actually youtube co-founder Steve Chen is Taiwan born. But Zoom and Doordash founders are mainland Chinese born.

Do you by chance know any companies where Indians are R&D?

I need a good laugh right now and this would definitely suit that purpose.

Pann replaces Dr. Randhir Thakur, the inaugural general manager of Intel Foundry Services, who stepped down from the role in November 2022 and will depart Intel at the end of March to start a new chapter outside the company.
Too late bro . Intel foundry business is screwed up.:rolleyes:

According to Swissinfo, citing a study from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a "significant exodus of Russian assets" resulted in a $100 billion rise in wealth deposited in the United Arab Emirates last year. It marks the fastest annual growth of any offshore booking center, it noted.
It seem UAE just want to disclose this round number of $100b to show it is now major economic center to attract even more wealth.
I think these Gulf countries have very significant economic system that not open and they are risk takers.
There was interview with Saudi ambassador to US in 2001 or 2022. where in response to question of wasting $50b. the ambassador answered so what?. recent skirmish in Sudan airport this summer in which Arabs lost up to 20 planes on the ground some of them expensive civil airlines. they only mentioned there people are safe. behind alot of conflicts in Africa there seem Arab funding. Arabs spare few billion for Trump after presidency and still play golf with him. Than there is that huge donations that they do many places. the point is to have financial system that people can rely on the country need both hard power and soft power.

Japan's real GDP could shrink by around 1.2 trillion yen ($8.2 billion), or 0.2%, if inbound tourism from China does not recover, adding to the hit from the ban imposed by China and Hong Kong, the estimates showed.

If the row escalates and leads to a 20% drop in goods exports to China, Japan's GDP could shrink by around 6.1 trillion yen, or 1.1%, according to the estimates.

if you want to look at what a 'democratic' China looks like, look at India or Philippines.
This is what gets me. Every time there's always this propaganda talk about building a SEA 'democratic alliance' of countries that are 'better' than China in every metric, and no one ever questions it.

Vietnam is not a democracy(they literally jail dissidents and the West doesn't care), they are lower in development and quality of life vs China

Philippines is literally worse than China in every metric despite being a 'democracy'. Shouldn't they be a $50,000GDP per capita country by now??

In the whole SEA, only Singapore(not a democracy) is better than China. Brunei and Malaysia are comparable, everywhere else there is just worse.

And let's not forget about India, it might not be in SEA but lmao

So this narrative is BS. Look at all those very functioning and thriving 'democracies' - why aren't they richer than China?

Singapore is only "better" in the same way Norway is "better" than USA.

If China only had to worry about running a tiny peninsula, you bet it would have 70 000 $ per capita too. There are cities in China that are larger and have richer population than Singapore.

Reddit troglodytes use this same line of reasoning when comparing China to Taiwan.

A China vs ASEAN comparison is more reasonable. Once you do that, you realize China comes out ahead in every single metric of development.
