Talking monkey's story is timeless though, and lots of modern story is basically the same thing dressed up a bit.
I submit to you that the movie Interstellar is just a short movie length version of Journey to the West with spaceships, complete with multiple trials and tribulations on the way and the need to reach the West/Singularity to acquire the sacred texts/quantum gravity data to reach enlighten and fix the problems back home.
Movie even have that trippy tesseract scene that would not look out of place in 1986 TV version of Journey to the West, which also had a surreal depiction Vulture Peak.
Yes that also means I think Anne Hathaway playing Tang Sanzang and Matthew McConaughey playing Sun Wukong would be mint.
Vivek Ramaswamy's master in New Delhi loves Putin so much that he wants VR to woo Putin over to the US-India axis so that India could finally complete the love triangle. But what has been happening for the past 1.5 years between the US and Russia?
1.5 years of:
1) Economic assault on Russia.
2) Isolating Russia from the "International Communities".
3) Promoting Russophobic hate propaganda on the levels not seen since Joseph Goebbels
4) Glorifying Nazis and the killings of Russian people. Glorifying the people who murdered 27million Soviets in WW2.
5) Providing obscene amounts of money and weaponry to Nazi-infested Ukraine to kill more Russians. Not since WW2 had such levels heavy weaponry and ammunition been given to a country for a proxy war.
6) Admitting the desire of the West to dismantle Russia.
After all that, Vivek Ramaswamy, the new POTUS calls up Putin and says: "Lets be best friends now. Join me, the mighty USA #1, and Modi 56-inch chest Superpowar India to take down that Pooh Bear Xi Jinping of Communist China! That untrustworthy snake that you dare call friend! Trust me bro, because I am an American Republican, and most importantly, I'm Indian. Jai Hind! I mean... Jai America and Russia!"

Yes. When Nixon courted Mao. The Soviets were throwing their brand-new Grad rockets and thermobaric bombs at the PLA. While the PLA managed to towed away what was then a state of the art Soviet tank. Ladakh today is a playground toddler brawl by comparison. Yet the Indians can still lose this toddler brawl with a rout.
Now, the Ukrainians are killing Russians with the ferocity of Nazis from WW2, with the blessing, and support of the US. Then maybe next year, Vivek Ramaswamy, the new POTUS, wants to call Putin to become good friends again, and then gang-up on China with India. Because soothing India's butthurt from a lost toddler-brawl is a worthy mission for world peace.

I have said it before and I will say it again, the current batch of US leaders are utterly devoid of all imagination that they cannot between them come up with a single original new idea.
Everything they have suggested so far are all just obvious copy-pasta rehashing of old ideas that they are forcibly trying to apply to today’s challenges no matter how badly it fits.
The only rational explanation I can think of is that the US deep state has managed to perfect their filtering methodology to be able to completely weed out anyone with any imagination or independent critical thinking capabilities very early on in the selection process of their political system to ensure the choices offered up to the voters to actually vote on are no choices at all.
Trump, ironically, might be the only truly independent and authentic candidate the US electorate has had for a very long time, and you can see how desperately the US establishment is in trying to remove that choice from the voters.
