Being a super power is the only way so "Century of humiliation" is not happening again. China must not only got plurality in all tech and industries but a monopoly in all industries is required, similar to US before de-industrialization.
No bro, one of the major power, do you know what entails to be a super power? IF you're Chinese you know the answer, the HUBRIS and complacency, the century of humiliate is a by product of that.

All those US in terminal collapse memes from tankies have to stop. The US has many problems, but is still the world's only superpower for a reason and will continue to be a formidable opponent for decades to come.
Why? The China terminal collapse memes are everywhere. The "free people" are free to post it all over our social media. Why can't the tankies have abit of fun to post their own memes about US terminal collapse? If anything, they are a minority voice in the English language sphere.

Is the US is the only superpower in the world? By what metric? Military? They ran out of ammo to give to Ukraine recently Economy? "Build Back Better" have achieved nothing in the Global South compared to the BRI.

Sure, the US have 800 military bases around the world, and a mightier nuclear Arsenal than China. But that doesn't mean that the US can pick a fight and win without a scratch against China today. That doesn't mean that the Chinese is not catching up fast with the US.

Those people that you call "tankies". They are mostly not warmongering idiots. Most of them are not looking for a fight with the US. They just hate it that the US are threatening them with war and economic hardship. But the guys on the otherside, they are the doing the opposite. For you to call people who laugh at the US as 'tankies' is a big indication that you are disrespectful of the views from the other side.

Remember Newton's Third Law. Every action has a reaction. America and it's minions started this Cold War against China. Hence, there are gonna be more Chinese nationalists and 'tankies' speaking out.

I know that this is cliche sharing of a Cyrus Janssen video. But there is something bigger going-on that I want to talk about.

This video is about an American hedge fund CEO moving to his company to Shenzen. Why? Because he saw all that rapid innovation going on there. Hence, there are many opportunities for investments.

In another separate story, winemakers and botanists from Europe and South America are also coming to Ningxia. Because that place is rapidly growing into a new reputable wine region. Plus that place is a hotbed for testing out new technologies in farming and viticulture.

China is becoming an exciting place for experts to look for opportunities. It has become the contemporary version of the "land of opportunities". So much so that experts from foreign countries would brave through the social and bureaucratic hurdles to get into China. But it's also not the same as the old concept of the "land of opportunities", because there is no colonialism going on here. Instead, it is mutual respect and cooperation.

One of the main strengths of China right now is it's ability to move forward with serious innovation. Other democracies like the US, Europe, Japan, and India are stuck in political and economic paralysis. By creating an environment that is healthy for innovation, China is also creating more opportunities. And this attracts talents from around the world. It is still early stages, but the future looks good for China, despite all the negative propaganda. The US used to boast that attracting foreign talent is it's ultimate 'special power' vs China. Now, China is also obtaining that 'special power'. This has been a very interesting development to witness these days.

There's an big shortage of STEM workers in Europe. I know in my field here in the netherlands there are like 4 open jobs for every IT person willing to switch jobs.

So if you want to innovate but can't find local human resources where do you go one could go to eastern Europe but didn't really help fill the gaps. Now they are looking in Asia.

Not sure how the IT market is in China but if the world has engineering talent shortage I'm sure China has to same problem.
