Speaking about entertainment. The Good Vibes music festival in Malaysia 2 days ago was cancelled mid-event. Thanks to the foul-mouthed LGBTQ rant from Matt Healy, the vocalist from The 1975 band (UK). He was cussing at the Malaysian government for its "anti-LGBTQ policies", and then French-kissing his male bandmate as a big "F-U" to the Malaysian government.

In case you are wondering what caused the Malaysian government to cut a 2-day long international music festival short:

Whatever your views about the LGBTQ, one should always respect the law of the land. Unless if you're a British rockstar who is drunk, and probably high on something.

If you really had good intel, you would never say it. Point in case, China, we deny everything even when its the smallest and most irrelevant stuff.

If anything such a public announcement is more indicative that despite more funding, attempts to gather intel on China by America has failed. So now they come publicly asking for even more funding, and the "risk" of alerting the Chinese is non existent, because there's nothing they can be alerted over.

This is probably the last time Kissinger could mediate China-US relationship. Carl Zha is worried.

That is an impossible thing to ask bruh....

I think it will change a bit in like 2~3 years when travel to China has recovered a bit, when tourist start taking pictures and upload videos.
That will have some positive impact especially if the CPC is smart enough to make comparison content between US tent cities and Chinese tier 1 cities.

I do hope to visit China next summer.
Bro let's meet up :D

But honestly, YT and Tiktok do give some pro ccp bias by showimg those fancy places of China, but maybe my feed is just to biased by now.

China should assume that William Burns was not bluffing. As long as there is a US Embassy and Consulates on Chinese soil, the CIA is guaranteed to be there. If the CIA is confident about rebuilding its spy networks in China, there is no harm for China to carry out another espionage audit. Who knows what could be uncovered.

This show up last year in one of arabic twitter feed and i indicated it. One another important element of soft power is knowing society through humanitarian work. Wealthy Gulf Arabs have very effective way of implementing it in various conflicts and it pays them handsomely. There was migration related conference in Italy and Arab leader himself show up and see the emphasis on word 'Bilateral'. They are not leaving Europe alone but showing its concern that they care about it.

Few years ago there was this person Chuang Tsu-i, supposedly a Taiwan-born US citizen. She was in Chengdu as wife of the US consul general whatsisname, mostly playing the part of 'friendly overseas Chinese happily back in China' but occasionally getting into spats with locals over her boba lib opinions.

Things got curious when China ordered the closure of the US consulate in Chengdu. Chuang was not listed on the official consulate roster as the spouse of the consul general. Later, back in the US, she was apparently homeless with her children, while her husband whatsisname was already posted to another US diplomatic mission elsewhere. There was speculation that she was from Taiwan's intel service.

Here's Sima Nan talking about her.

Time to crack down on the HK US Consulate with its 1000+ employees
