Europe Refugee Crisis

@Equation , You and I both know that the marksmanship training used for this form of sport is easily usable in the Military/Paramilitary environment. The Fundamentals of Sport marksmanship are rooted in Military training. Although it's not full Sniper training It's the first step.

I hope they are vetting the people joining this and vetting them well.
True, but I need to see pics with them training on the field with cammo and old fashion land and terrain orientation with maps and compass (no GPS). That requires at lease some basic infantry skills for months. Even all snipers has to be familiar wit the terrain they are operating at .

Sure if they want a conventional sniper. But conflicts of the last three decades have shown that conventional wisdom and force need not always apply. Take the "DC Snipers" for example. Two men, a car, a rifle and a urban areas resulted in mass panic. No conventional training or deployment. In that model a little .22 LR like that would be more than enough.

I really don't think they are training them as "snipers" per se, maybe "marksmen" would be a proper translation, is it advisable, probably not in the current volatile situation, but it is likely a program that is offered in the schools to "incentivize" Yutes with a little motivation. Not advisable, but to not offer it would seem??? "unfair?" so they are holding their breath and hoping for the best, but your reactions are indeed spot on, just saying this is not something new for the culture of Sweden.

I am not saying this is not a very traumatic and unfortunate turn of events for the Europeans, indeed all involved, and yes it is no doubt dangerous, just that it appears that they are attempting to inculcate some of their own culture of respect and responsibility into these young people before its too late? I'm already hearing that I don't know what I'm talking about, no I'm NOT there, and I can't imagine the Chaos it is causing? I was asked to comment on the young people with weapons, that is all!

What I am concerned with here especially is the idea of providing basic makrmanship training to young people who, likely in most cases, came / fled from a place with a violent or (almost) civil war like environment. The psychology behind that is much more complex than "they fled it so they won't do it". Not that I have insight into their psychology, I just think noone has really thought about this.
I also believe that it is in now way comparable to "western" kids having spent several hours a day over the past few years playing Battlefield or Call of Duty.
There is a myriad of other (outdoor / sports) activities, IMO, that would allow inclusion and introduction of these people into local society.

I agree whole heartedly with both Master Scratch, Jeff Masters, and others, it is a conundrum, and I have no delusions about where this seems to be headed, and it falls back onto Barack, and Hillarys gross ineptitude when it comes to any understanding of the Middle East, using Benghazi as a marker for the gross negligence and apathy.

After the incidents of sexual assault in Cologne, Germany on New Year’s Eve committed by Muslim refugees against German women, feminist apologetics have acquired renewed vigor in the European debate.
Pundits and politicians assure the public that refugee males now storming the gates of Europe from the Middle East, Northern Africa and Central Asia will be required to learn that Western women are independent and sexually liberated. Such arguments, however, are obviously too weak to have any impact on the male cultures representative of certain refugee groups.

To these individuals, strong European women are ‘easy’ and easy victims; they have respect only for strong men – and strong men aren't exactly thick on the ground in Europe.

The deficiency of masculinity in European culture renders it impotent in the face of the political and cultural chaos that has escalated along with growing immigration.

feminized, with no knowledge or habit of manly virtues like courage, resolve, self-sacrifice, justice, temperance, self-reliance, self-discipline and honour. He has no sense of true expression of manliness. Feminism despises and rejects these virtues, and this has had a profoundly detrimental impact on a European culture, the “battered wife” of a feeble continent.

The massive feminization of culture has had a major impact on politics. The prevailing ideology of Western liberal democracy is secular humanism, which is particularly feminine in character. Policy, especially as applied to immigrants, is a motherly embrace of goodness and overbearing indulgence. One could also interpret it as naivety, weakness and accommodation. As the refugee crisis erupted and overwhelmed Europe, its political leaders - spearheaded by German Chancellor Angela Merkel - acted like timid mother hens, not as strong men responsible for guarding their country from an invasion.

were seen playing with refugee children on motorways instead of doing their job of enforcing the law. They were lauded as heroes in the media. They acted like women with soft hearts and not as men entrusted with defending their country and the rule of law.

Sounds more than a bit trolly to be blasting European men so for their alleged lack of 'mannliness'. Maybe the staff at RT are forgetting Russia also count as part of Europe, and so they are as good as attacking themselves with such nonsense.

The disgusting acts of those sexual deviants and thugs reflect nothing but their own lack of morals, restraint and base courage (yeah, really mannly to gang up with dozens of your sleezebag buddies to ambush lone women or couples. I seriously doubt any one of them has the balls to try any of that BS against even a couple if they were by themselves, and that they would be pounded flat if they tried).

If there is someone that deserves the blame for this beyond those scumbags, it's the pathetic police response. If ever there was a situation which called for officers to wade in swing batons with gusto, that was it.
