That is outdated manoeuvres which is only effective against dumb bombs and unguided torpedo. Against smart weapons, you will need EW devices, decoys, anti-torpedo rockets, CIWS and anti-missile missiles.

Sharp turning is now a standard for sea trial in combat ships.

No it is not

It is very much a tactic used by warships to minimise the cross section against a incoming missile

as is the CIWS, shaft and flare, sharp turning and whole host of other tactics

Each one could make 1% difference and together could mean 5% and that could be enough to avoid getting clipped and end up changing the outcome of the war

Ask the crew of HMS Glamorgan during Falklands war

Not only touch down tyre markings, but also a used jet blast deflector and a lot of minor markings of tyres traveling along the centerline. 002 has seen real air ops with full stop landings, not only some touch and gos.

And a container parallel to the fool line - might be for flight calibration.
