The drawings look as if they had the wrong proportions. And four instead of three arresting cables. I think, not official but fan boys wet dreams.
Aircraft donot get "stacked" into a hanger like that where ALL space if taken up by nithing but aircraft.
The leave an aisle opne so they can manuever aircraft, helo0s, and equipment around in the hanger.
It is unrealstic to cram aircraft in like that and then indicate that that is the number of aircraft that will be carried in the hanger.
The fact is, on US carriers, the entire air-wing does not "fit" into the hanger when the carrier is fully loaded. A bunch of aircraft are spotted on deck and they rotate into the hanger when they need servicing or attention.
If the suspected some kind of horrible weather where they were concerned abaout the aircraft that could not fit into the hangar, they would fly them off with tankers if necessary, before hand and get them to land and safety before they would try and cram the hanger full like those pictures.

Cramming a hangar like that is simply not wht is done.
I think it's done mostly just for illustrative purposes in this case, and it's not like it hasn't been done in a Kuznetsov class carrier before. In standard operations that kind of cramming isn't practical but for a fan made CGI trying to illustrate a "filled to the brim" scenario I think it's forgiveable.
That said, I think the 001A CGI's depiction of the extended hangar at this stage is still quite speculative, I'm not sure if we've had any credible indication that the hangar is actually larger than Liaoning.
Like the su-35 deal, there was a time when I started to firmly believe that the deal is a real one, without seeing any direct evidence.

It is for illustration purpose only. We know from the "leak" or statement from Chinese talking head(analyst), that indeed they enlarge the hanger to carry 3 more extra J15. And isn't the granit silo in Varyag sit next to the hanger. Now that they have clean design, it is most likely that they eliminate those silos and use it to extend the hanger.So don't take it too literally, we know they are not going to cram all those J15 in the hanger
The Granit silos do not sit next to the hangar. They are in front of the weapons elevators, which are in front of the hangar, which means for CV-17 to have a larger hangar the weapons elevators had to be removed or relocated.

In addition, during the construction process it was possible to see that the hangar was not extended to the foredeck.
We discussed this in this thread when the front partition of the hangar was assembled during the construction process.

I don't have the old Varyag layout drawing so I can't comment But I did ask where the hanger is . And I think it sit next to the island.It at the starboard of the ship.
Doesn't look like it take too much real estate
