Excellent observation, its used most often because # 1 its the safest, and #2 you can fly with more fuel and payload, in fact judging by the lack of rubber tire tracks the forward position is seldom or never used!

The two forward positions are used for high gloss photos and image videos.

Yes Sir, no pilot is gonna depart a shorter "runway", when he can depart a much safer longer "runway"! the three most useless things in aviation! "runway behind you, altitude above you, and "airspeed" you don't have!"

famous but true old aviator saying, in other words always use all the runway, always maintain a "safety factor" and have plenty of altitude, and keep your speed up, when you get low and slow, and attempt to maneuver, the "stall, Spin"... more aircraft have likely been lost on the turn to final than any other scenario in aviation, with the possible exception of departure accidents..

Hence the wise Chines pilots are always gonna use the longest launch position, unless operational considerations dictate otherwise!

let assume each batch is the graduation of 6 carrier qualified pilot(CQP) Then according to Henri K there should be at least 50 to 60 CQP pilots give or take a few. Not enough for 2 squadron considering you need spare pilots

As of August 4, several areas in Bohai Bay are closed due to military maneuvers. The one near Qinhuangdao could be reserved for the Liaoning aircraft carrier for the certification of a new promotion of air carrier pilots, the 10th if the account is good.
