More supports from overseas, this time from Thailand. It's about time those pampered fools in Hong Kong and Taiwan realise most Chinese outside China are not like them, full of prejudice and hate. So much so, they are willing to risks other people's life by coming out to strike for political ideology!

February update, daily (cumulative):
2/1: confirmed 2,590 (14,380), net suspected* 1,556 (19,544), severe case 315 (2,110), death 45 (304), cured 85 (328), under observation: 137,594 nation-wide
2/2: confirmed 2,829 (17,205), net suspected* 2,014 (21,558), severe case 186 (2,296), death 57 (361), cured 147 (475), under observation: 152,700 nation-wide
2/3: confirmed 3,235 (20,438), net suspected* 1,656 (23,214), severe case 492 (2,788), death 64 (425), cured 157 (634), under observation: 171,329 nation-wide
2/4: confirmed 3,887 (24,324), net suspected* 46 (23,260), severe case 431 (3,219), death 65 (490), cured 262 (892), under observation: 185,555 nation-wide
*net suspected = gross suspected – those who tested negative daily
Comment: the ratio of cured/death is increasing steadily, as expected. What is unexpected is the low daily net suspected cases on 2/4 - it was as low as 46 - as though everyone who had infection were caught!
The main thing to watch out for is whether there is a major rise in cases after people head back home after the Lunar Festivals.
What we all witnessing now is the first phase. The starting point of 2019 new corona virus in Wuhan and China.
And we seen the response made in quarantining and incredible speed of organising and building hospitals and facilities in holding and treatment.
And may in time, hold and halt this virus totally in China.
We also see the mocking and laughters and demonising of China's efforts , despicable cartoons in guise of free speech to laugh and the taking advantage of this to further rub the face of China in the mud.
BUT
The next phase is inevitable. Not that I wish for that to happen, but happen that will be.
That virus is now already in many countries and with the fore warnings given by China. Despit the warnings, are those countries capable and able and have the dedicated expertise shown by China in containing and holding and treating this virus? Can USA, or any other country , build hospitals from bare fields and equipt that in a matter of days?
Perhaps so, but sadly, not to the extent demonstrated by China.
In the days and weeks to come, that virus will be spreading and spreading in USA, in Denmark, in Europe , in Africa , India and Australia.
Chinese and China and all decent folks will sorrow and pray for them and help them best they can in USA, Denmark and others .
And maybe, hopefully, the insults and savage mockery they shown to China will stop as they all desperately trying not to be sick and die themselves.
Chinese and China and all decent folks will not be mocking and laughing and taking advantage or insulting them the way USA, Denmark and others had done and still doing to China in the initial crisis.
We will wait , and see.

I'm fairly certain that there will not be a phase 2 where it becomes a pandemic. Because China acted so quickly, the disease is largely contained in the epidemic phase. Having a few infected people go to these countries while every CDC is on top alert with quarantining protocols is a pretty good way to ensure it does not progress to a pandemic.

Already 10 on cruise ship of 3700 in Japan found to have virus less than 20 hours after the testing started.
On 100, or 200, or 300?
When testing all done we see how many got infected.
And 2 infected indians from India (medical students on top of that) ran away from quarantine and flew into Saudi Arabia maybe infecting all those in plane with them and not to talk about the airports they were processed in and the crowds awaiting immigration checks.
Let us sit back a few days, a week , and we see.

There is no such thing as completely certain; fairly certain is as far as one can go. The whole ship can be infected and it wouldn't become a pandemic because it is a quarantined ship. At this point, I see no way for it to become a pandemic unless one were to view this from a sci-fi thriller everything-that-can-possibly-go-wrong-goes-terribly-wrong scope. The level of global incompetence required for this to become a pandemic is astronomical.
If there is a phase 2, it will be to see what happens when the Wuhan lock-down is lifted. If this step is done with poor planning or prematurely and the virus is still sufficiently in the environment,it could get a second infectious wind.
