Yes, but how much does that design owe to the F 14?

The Flanker owes the F-14 as much as a Toyota Camry owes the Model T. Let's start with where you think the similarities lie. I personally think the Americans directly copied the Mig-25 for their F-15. Call me stupid but I think calling the flanker a homage of anything is utterly idiotic as well.

Please explain with detail exactly how Flanker owes anything to F-14? F-14 intakes have some resemblance to Su-27 intakes but so does the F-15 and Mig-25, and Tornado. That's the only thing I can see. F-14 is swing wing. Su-27 has blended fuselage. They cannot be more different already. Even on a superficial level they are not the same. I would say it's fair to say that FC-31 owes many design elements to F-35 and F-22. On a superficial level. However the exact dimensions, materials, and weight distribution probably means it's a very different aircraft in service. You can copy design elements based on proven methods of shaping for stealth but it's much harder to copy everything below the surface. Here is where we have no idea how good the SAC plane actually is. Su-27 and F-14 could not be any further apart.

Pardon to say so, but that's pure BS and a plain stupid reply.

First of all to assume the Flanker's intake design is a copy of the F-14's intake or what else is OFF-topic and not related to Chinese Flankers and also on a level one should better discuss at the Key-forum or other Kindergarten-chat groups.
