Anyone with an idea of what former Regiment, now Brigade they speak of?
Even more it sounds as if they say something about a restart of the J-11B production ?

空军“杜凤瑞大队”所在部队改编 即将换装新型国产战机
据中国空军网7月10日报道，东部战区空军航空兵某旅在改革强军的大潮中，传承英雄血脉，克服困难大搞实战化练兵。随着该旅的组织结构基本调整完毕，该旅也将换装新型国产战机，部队建设站上了新的发展起点。

这是一支驻扎在英雄城南昌城外不过几十公里，从战火硝烟中走来的英雄部队。其前身航空兵某师历史上曾2次入朝、7次参加国土防空作战，击落击伤敌机17架，4次参加首都国庆阅兵，涌现出“空军英雄战士”杜凤瑞、“98抗洪”英雄机务大队、“英雄航天员”聂海胜、“空军功勋飞行员”王俊飞等一大批英模典型。

1958年10月10日，福建龙田上空，年仅25岁的杜凤瑞单机杀入敌群，一连击落两架敌机，因飞机中弹失控跳伞，遭敌袭击血洒长空。为表彰杜凤瑞的功绩，空军授予杜凤瑞“空军英雄战士”荣誉称号，追记一等功，并将杜凤瑞生前所在中队命名为“杜凤瑞中队”，后又改编为“杜凤瑞大队”。

今年初，伴随着改革强军体制重塑，这个旅在原航空兵某师所属2个团站基础上应运而生。旅政委说：“作为旅组建后的第一茬人，全旅官兵大力传承红色基因和英雄血脉，决心把英雄的旗帜扛起来，一代代传下去。”

英雄部队所歌颂的，不只是历史，更是唱出了新时期的“强军战歌”。十八大以来，该师多次执行演习驻训、对抗竞赛等大项任务，在转战大江南北中取得了不俗战绩：2人获得“金头盔”，所属某二代机部队2次获得空战优胜单位，成为空军唯一一个二代机新型飞行教官培训任务试点成果推广单位。

今年4月的改革调整中，该旅10名老飞行员因超龄无法改装新机，将转隶分流至兄弟部队。即驻扎在武夷山脚的航空兵某团，与组成这个旅的2个团同属某师，装备的也是苏27SK、歼11战机。随着空军转型建设步伐的加快，他们即将换装某新型国产战机，加之新型飞行教官培训试点推广任务牵引，部队建设站上了新的发展起点。

该旅装备的国产歼11战斗机还有较多使用寿命，倒是原装的苏27SK战斗机寿命堪忧。目前，该旅已经改制完成，原先混装的歼7E战机亟需退役，存在较大的战机缺口。作为对台一线主力师，该旅很有可能先裁汰一部分寿命到期的苏27战机，然后快速换装刚刚恢复生产的国产歼11B战机。

IMO it sounds very much like the 14th Fighter Division, 41st Regiment at Wuyishan, which is said to be under conversion to the J-11B since some time.

IMO it sounds very much like the 14th Fighter Division, 41st Regiment at Wuyishan, which is said to be under conversion to the J-11B since some time.

it said 2 units. Most part is about the brigade made up by 40 and 42 regiment, they are under conversion to new fighters. Then it said 10 pilots from this brigade don't qualified for the conversion because of age reasons. They will be transferred to 41st regiment near Wuyishan (the mountain, not the city).

Thanks but Hmmm ??? But that sounds as if the new Brigade is being formed by merging the 40. & 42. Regiments.

And these strange reports that J-11B-production has been restarted ?

PS: small but nice a J-16-image armed with PL-10 + PL-15, seems to be the new standard AAM-combo replacing PL-8 & PL-12.

Maybe J11B production never officially stopped, 112 just shifted their line between different models. Now is J11B block3 or something.

BTW, I think PL15 is a ramjet missile? This looks like an upgrade version of PL12

Sorry, I wasn't questioning Your summary I only wanted to be sure that I got it right. !

Concerning J-11B production it surely would not be Block 03, since the last birds delivered (at least I know) were already from Block 06 (final bird I know was 0618 in mid December 2014).

That's "batch 06" I think, just depends on contract. by block I mean technically (a little) different

Ok. ... so Block 03 could be a "mini" J-11D of some sort?
