I believe that was the original designation of the J-15. Similar to how the Su-33 was originally called the Su-27K.
No idea, explanations ? we have J-10A/B/C...
There are two distinctive Su-30 subfamilies, with different manufacturers(IAPO/Irkut, KNAAPO)

Common ancestor - basic Su-30(Su-27UB optimised to long range loitering interceptor mission)
Upper branch -
MKI family by Irkut(MKI, MKA, MKM, SM, SME)
MKI family is distuinguishable by canards, TW engines.
Lower branch
MK/MK2 by KNAAPO(also Su-35 producer; MKK,MK2, M2 etc).
Interestingly, RuAF bought both, but Su-30M2 for ruaf are essentially Su-27UB replacements for Su-35s regiments.
Damage seems don' t exist not same style for Su-27, J-11 or 16 for Su-24 yes i have posted with Russia.
For Su-30M2 exact replace in part Su-27UB coz only 20 build but equip also Su-27 Rgts to Belbek, Krymsk.

No, twin seater for Su-35 regiments is Su-30SM. Su-30M2 work in regiments of Su-27SM/SM3.
