, the most deadly attack in Britain in a decade.

The horror unfolded at about 10.30pm on Monday at the end of a concert by the American singer Ariana Grande, whose music is popular with children and teenagers.

The attack, which took place in the foyer, left hundreds of people fleeing in terror, with young people at the concert separated from their parents in the chaos. It left carnage inside the concert venue, with medics describing treating wounds consistent with shrapnel injury.

London and many other major European cities are a hotbed of Islamic terrorism. Unfortunately this is nothing new.
I would surmise at any given time there are probably dozens if not hundreds of lonewolfs or cells ready to go in these cities.. it's just a matter of logistics, timing or waiting for orders from the higher ups.

All the EU nations put together is almost the same size as the continental US. I don't know if they are either having an intelligence problem or not working together to track down on these terrorist groups. The US is as much a target for terrorism as the EU, but it doesn't seem to happen as often as in Europe. That's what puzzles me.o_O

I suspect there are a number of factors at play. First, the US is a lot more draconian in security after 9/11. Second, Europe is much more accessible than the US from places such as Iraq, Syria, and Libya. Finally, Europe has larger, more segregated, muslim communities that feel disenfranchised.
