Just an FYI. It's Fitted For But Not With for the missiles. If they do add them its difficult to ascertain what they intend to do. CAMM-ER covers part of the Aster15 role, but without regular CAMM alongside it might not be as effective against pop-up threats as Aster 15.

They've also just installed a ski jump on her....

They must have fabricated it dockside and winched it on like QE's, but kept quiet about it when it was being made/planned, it was probably sat there ready to go before it was launched... . All for political reasons...

Well, I am not too surprised by the ski-jump. They did indicte that it would carry F-35Bs as required.

They will have the onshore testbed 15 years after the start of the construction of the first unit : O

Maybe I am a bit old fashioned, but this things supposed to be done BEFORE the start of construction .

Best should be to do the onshore testbed before the finalisation of the drawings.

@asif iqbal It's this new one the Italians are building now. Hull was completed and launched in May 0f this year. Supposed to be commissioned in 2022.

Then looked what they went and put on it...hehehe. Yep, another F-35B Pocket carrier!

Nice. Now the Italians will be able to field two carriers whenever they need them.
