HMS QE - FLIGHT DECK ACTION 20 AUG 18 - UK SW APPROACHES
The QE's flight deck scene earlier on Monday 20 Aug 18 in the UK South West sea approaches as the 3 new Merlin HCMk4 Commando Support Helicopters from 845NAS Furious Flight join the ship from RNAS Yeovilton and WESTLANT18 deployment. On the far aft is a single Merlin HM2 ASW aircraft of 820NAS who will provide ASW screening and other helicopter support during the deployment to the USA East coast and Caribbean waters until December 18.
Note also the aircraft movement serials appearing on one of the large FLYCO data screens on the forward face of the aft Island

845NAS' sqn badge is the Dragonfly, Furious flight is named in honour of one of the world's first aircraft carriers, HMS Furious, which served in two World Wars.

Royal Air Force Sqn Ldr Andrew "Gary" Edgell, Peter "Wizzer" Wilson, BAE test pilot , test pilots at the F-35 Pax River Integrated Test Force, perform ski jump test Aug. 13, 2018, at NAS Patuxent River with an F-35B test jet as part of the workups to prepare for First of Class Flying Trials (Fixed Wing) aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth.

Around 200 supporting staff from the ITF, including pilots, engineers, maintainers and data analysts, will take two F-35Bs test aircraft aboard the Royal Navy’s newest aircraft carrier this fall and are expected to conduct 500 take offs and landings during their 11-week test period at sea. a 15-person crew from Paramount Pictures and Bruckheimer Films went aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln Sunday. Hecht said the crew will remain through Saturday.

Hecht said no actors are aboard and the crew is shooting footage of air operations on the flight deck, including landings and takeoffs.

A publicist with Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Television declined to provide the newspaper any details about the production.
