Some other dimensions to consider:
  • This all unravels few hours after Biden proposed Poland transfer its Patriots to Ukraine and get Iron-dome from Israel. Is this Russia's chance to play spoil sports in this conflict?
  • This may knock out Israel's chance of assisting Ukraine as that would green light Russian proxy support which can propel the various anti-aparthied factions.
  • The great normalization of KSA-Israel might get torpedoed, it's a matter of time before images of hundreds of dead Palestinian children are broadcast across the Arab street. Perhaps this was the ulterior goal? Let's watch and see.

I am not so sure about your last point. MBS might even blame Hamas for sabotaging his "peace efforts". I am under the impression that roadblocks towards normalization actually lie primarily on Israel&US side rather than SA.

I think if SA doesnt get a bullet proof, fool proof, legally binding security pact, it wont be worth it for them.
They've seen what happened in Libya (when Gaddafi was improving relations with the west, had given up on nukes etc) and Saddam (who was an ally and had his Kuwaiti invasion green lighted by American ambassdor). They've seen US back out of Iran nuke deal etc. They have cordial relations with China and with a strong security pact with US, they can focus on their internal development without any worry of color revolutions or Arab springs or other regime change tools. If I was KSA, i'd 100% aim for that too.

Israeli Channel 12: The Coordinator of government operations in Palestinian Territories, IDF Major General Rasan Aliyan, in a message to the Hamas leadership and the public in the Gaza Strip:

— "I want to say one thing - Hamas Terrorists opened the gates of hell on the Gaza Strip, Hamas Terrorists made the decision and Hamas Terrorists will bear the responsibility and pay the price."

החדשות - N12 (@N12News)

Like Gaza residents weren't already living under hellish conditions before today's events ...

SA isn't getting a security pact from US. It's just saying what the old fool in the White House wants to hear.

Any predictions on what scope of zionist retaliation will be ? Will it be limited to Gaza Strip or are they going to hit Southern Lebanon, Syria & Iran as well ?
