To admit I don't fully understand what's just going on here and in the J-20 tread too but it reminds me on some not very nice discussions we had a few months ago when some certain members simply tried to follow their own holy crusade to persuade other members !

Dear 'Black Shark' - again hello on board - but this endless discussing only for the sake of discussing even more by showing a certain altitude of "my version is correct and others are wrong" is not the way we like to discuss here.

Cheers and all the best

Not sure if posted before, Z-19 with 8 anti-tank missiles and 14 rockets. A decent load out for a light attack helo.

I don't think it is a suprise we already knew that Z-19 can carry 8 missiles but never the less a good shot

Yeah, the armament is comparable to that of the AH-1Z Viper. HAMC did an incredible job with the development of this chopper. Nimble enough for reconnaissance but also a good amount of offensive/defensive options that would make enemies think twice about engaging.

Well given its size compared to the ground it looks pretty real to me. Having a WZ-19 light attack helicopter and a WZ-10 attack helicopter a good combination, like the United States operating both the AH-64D and the AH-1.

The Z-19 might also prove popular for export if its cheap enough

That's really interesting.

Not really. the USMC decided to stick with the AH1 Cobra due to there budgetary needs. They were offered a "Sea" Apache but placed there priority's elsewhere the mission sets of thereCobra and Apache over lap in most mission terms but Apache is the better tank killer or it was the latest brings the to to a close tie. now in terms of arms the analysis of Z19 and AH1 is flawed at best. Z19 lacks a cannon to fall back to. It's mission set does not require one. The mission set is more compatible to the Japanese Self defence Forces model Where they operate both AH1 and AH64 but introduced into service OH1 Ninja a airframe that shares a large number of characteristics.

It would seem that two more aviation regiments have been identified

That's the 11th and 12th aviation LH regiments

More interesting I find is that Z-10 and Z-19 helos have been assigned to these units which tells me that the first 10 aviation regiments are now fully equipped

If true that would mean that we have a serious number of Z-10 and Z-19 helos in operation

If we have between 8-12 such helos in a regiment we are looking at

96 x Z-10 and 96 x Z19

Or as high as 144 x Z-10 and 144 x Z-19

Overall we are looking at between 200 to 300 of both I would say definitely more than 250+

This in contrast to just a few years ago when we had a dozen or so

A really good success story and a remarkable achievement in adding a great number of modern helos in a short time

I hope Pakistan can add a attack and scout component to the Pak Army in future with Z-10 and Z-19

Here are some pictures

or maybe they will expand to have more than 12 per regiment.

Well to be honest 12 attack helicopters to cover a entire army group is cutting it pretty thin and there is 18 group armies within the PLA

If they add a LH unit to each of the 18 group armies we are look at 12 x 18 = 216 attack helos and similar number of scout helicopters

If they added two attack battalions of attack helos to each regiments that would mean 432 attack helos that's a good number

As a matter of fact if we look at attack helo ratio with tank ratio the number is pretty low, actually very low

I hope Z-10 and Z-19 production continues for next 10 years at same pace that would give PLA ground forces a good cover
