Unfortunate but not unexpected. The Z-10 is literally China's first ever attempt at a dedicated attack helicopter designed from scratch and we already have to thank our lucky stars that it turned out well and not a total disaster like the J-8I. It would really be unreasonable to expect the Z-10, China's first dedicated attack helicopter, to not only succeed on the first try, but also comprehensively exceed the performance of a design made by experienced world-class helicopter designers. It would be great if it did, but completely fair if it didn't; can't really be mad at the universe for that.
Absolutely, and that is part of the learning
Z-10 is a fantastic helo and just because it didn't fit the protocol, strategy and environment of PA does not take anything away from the unit itself
When the Apaches first arrived in the Middle East back in 1990s they were plaqued with problems, iteration after iteration they refined the model to get to where they are now, because AH-64 was really for open plains of Europe
In the high dry and hot environments of Western Pakistan Z10 I am guessing faced the same issues and rather than starting a lengthy process of modifications and refinement its easier to pick alternative when others opinions are available
