I just recently completed an undergraduate degree with a major in Modern History at Macquarie university, a very Eurocentric course but I was able to do a capstone on the Soviet economic system as a model for Chinese economic development.

I'm currently doing a postgrad in International Relations, and planning on transferring to Sydney University since they have a much better Asian oriented program.

Finishing up a Political Science/Sociology double major at UC Berkeley. I might be able to get an minor in Asia Studies if I do the paper work, but w/e. Not surprisingly, my area specialty is China.

I'm very curious about your capstone. It sounds like a unique approach to understanding Chinese development.

I am a semi-retired Business Consultant. I have been a part-time lecturer for Bachelor & Master's Degree Courses for Australian Off-Campus programs (RMIT, Curtin Unis) in Singapore. I also had the opportunity of teaching for 2 Chinese Universities (Macau & Guanzhou-Sun Yat Sen) for 2 Semesters as a Visiting Lecturer in recent years. My specialisations include: Business Development, Asia-Pacific Business & Intercultural Negotiations, and have been doing this part-time/adjunct for 20 years. Currently, I am just curious & interested in Security & Defence matters specifically related to geopolitical & maritime affairs in the Asia-Pacific Region - Why? Because I am always a Navy guy at heart.
