Windows 10 Upgrade Thread (Questions, observations, experiences)

OMG... This is exactly what I was afraid of. Skyrim is now running so slow that it's unplayable!

Solarz used to be a adventurer then windows 10 shot a Arrow into his Knee...

I previously reserve my copy of Windows 10; however, I think that my system drive (C has too little free space that I decided to re-install the Windows with more space for system drive. After re-install Windows, the GetWindows10 app does not have the Reserve button any more (like picture below). What is the problem? Any solution?

Check out your Windows Update, see if it's there already. If not, there are ways to manually upgrade to Windows 10.

I believe it's not there yet. Time is too short. I'll try upgrade it manually; however, what worry me are the drivers. My laptop, Toshiba Portege R930 has a very strange part number (PT330L-00S00D) that I can't find it on the web. It's an Asian model of the R930. I tried to upgrade it to Windows 8 previously but only to find that many hardware's drivers for Windows 8 aren't available even on Toshiba's website. I'll install Win10 on a separated HDD and see what happen!

So I had to update my graphics driver. Wish they had mentioned before this before the upgrade. Makes me wonder what other drivers are screwed up on my machine right now.

Another annoyance: I tried using OneNote, and it automatically switched my computer account to my hotmail account.

WRT the resolution, the thing to do would be:
Start > type "Resol", and the search would have surfaced the setting to change the screen resolution. Hope that helps in the future.

On Windows 7, you simply right click the mouse on the desktop screen to change resolution. Windows 10 is less intuitive because it's free now?

Who would intuitively know to type "Resol" to change screen resolution?

On Windows 10, the right click to reach that option is still there. I also can't follow the logic of the question, so I can't answer it.

Who would intuitively know to type "Resol" to change screen resolution?

To clarify, the search brings up the Resolution setting, before they even finish typing the word. Typing as far as "resol" is enough, though the user can finish typing out the entire word if they want. It is quite intuitive. . Hopefully that clears things up.
