The missing door: This entry is almost perfect. The only thing missing from it is an entrance.

The toilet notch: This is what happens when you realize your measurements were off, but starting over is just not an option.

The accident waiting to happen: It’s not a great sign when your weekend project turns into a balancing act.

The interrupting tree: These homeowners went so green, they don’t even care if they can’t get to their cars.

FRANCE (CHINA)

Some media speculating France may use current visit of helicopter carrier DIXMUDE to Shanghai (rmks: training squadron on long-planned cruise) to offer MISTRAL class helicopter carriers built for Russia to the Chinese Navy.
A fascinating thought. France pays back the full price to Russia. China buys them at half of the full price and sells them on to Russia for the same price. :)

LOL... You make a good businessman delft... But your scenario is possible. Crazier things have happened in the world of military acquisition. I mean I'm still waiting for PLAN to install roulette tables and slot machines in liaoning's hanger.

Another scenario is in close door meetings, France tells Russia they are still getting the mistral but via China instead of France. China gets a big cut of the deal but plays the role of the 'bad' guy. Since china is not bound by NATO member restrictions nor are they too bothered by the Ukrainian crise they happily obliged.
Everybody wins. France still gets their money while appearing innocent, Russia get the mistral and china plays middleman and gets a huge cut and maybe some criticisms from the Obama admin which they will happily take as a small repercussion.

That would be a giant exercise of bull. Just as the US stopped France, via the PNB Paribas billion dollar fine, from selling them to Russia, it can stop the sale to China if that's being speculated. So therefore if the sale did go through just so China could sell it to Russia... What was the point of it except some saving face.

on Monday afternoon.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: “The victim was on the pavement on Portswood Road when he was knocked over by another man who was on a mobility scooter.

“The victim was run over by the mobility scooter a number of times and has sustained injuries to his leg including a broken ankle and knee. He is currently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. A woman intervened to assist the victim.”

The attacker is described as white, in his mid- to late 70s, 5ft 9ins and of slim build, with short grey hair and clean-shaven.

DC Dal Andrews said: “We believe the victim was deliberately targeted in this unprovoked attack. There were a number of people present at the time and when the ambulance crew were in attendance. I am appealing for these people to get in contact with us as they may have information that could assist our investigation.”
