Aaahh anybody here speak Russian? Not me. I did not see much of the video. The whole video did not load. I saw it up to the point where the Flanker landed.
To me the flight deck look barren. A lack of activity. I guess that's how the Russians operate though. I wish I could see the whole video. ..Don't know why it did not play.
I really want to see those aircraft take off from the ski ramp. I wonder just how much that ski jump effects their weapons load? I think Gollevainen knows.
yes hopefully Aluka will be able to enlighten us soon! but i suspect that it is probably a report about the Kuznetsov's first cruise in a few years which took place at the end of last year.
As for the Su-33 there is a clip of it taking off it doesn't seem to be carrying any weapons although the clip was a bit blurred. The heaviest weapon load i have seen on a Flanker onboard Kuznetsov is 2 R-27s under the intakes and 4 R-73 on the wingtips i think it was taken on the ships last cruise in 1995 i'll to see if i can find it again.
Was just wondering there if TVC would have any benefits in terms of improving the take off performance of a carrierborne Flanker or would the extra weight incurred by fitting such a system cancel any such benefits?
it looks alot like thsoe america navy adds,
Do they advertise The Hornet on American TV? just kidding i presume your talking about some sort of recruitment advert!
