Here's how the hangar deck looks inside the vessel (withut the walls or details), and how the fight deck looks dry fit on the carrier:

Over the next little while (week or two) I will work on some of the plastic details around the hull, and begin working on the hangar bay walls and details. I may also start to work on the Ronald Reagan's island...but it just depends on what I can get to. Hope to have the next update by January 6th or so...sooner if I can.

SCHEDULE for Future Activities
- December 28, 2016

- By April 28, 2017 Complete the USS Ronald Reagan, CVN-76
- By June 31st, 2017 Complete the WW II Dollitle Raid strike group with the Hornet 9CV-8), the
Enterprise CV-6), to destroyers and a cruiser.

Santa got me the model...all of the extras was orchestrated by my wonderful wife who got each of the five kids to donate about %50 bucks towards the various add ons

She told them where to get them (after asking me) and then the ones who were not here sent them, and the ones who did make it here this year (three out of the five) just brought them with them.

I have a wonderful family...and I hope I can gt it done while I still can.

Wow Jeff.. you did not waste any time starting the build on CVN-76!
I know...I need to get at it. My situation is such that I need to use the time and get it done while I still can.

This is going to take some time...and as time goes on and my condition steadily worsens...I want to get ti completed...and it keeps my mind focused as well, which is good.

Read those firstr two posts. I have purchased F-35Cs fr this big boy and they are going to be on deck. Going to have CV-22s for the COD and an ASW Osprew for ASW, in addition to F/A-18E/F and E-2Ds for AEW. Will also have EA-18G Growlers for the electronic warfare.

This is going to have a 2020 oor 2022 air wing.

Excellent job my friend! I can't wait to see her completed.
She's going to be nice. Probably eaven more enjoyable than my build of the USS Iwo Jima, LHD-7, with all the detail that went into her.

If my health will hold...she'll probably be my crowning model.

I wanted it to be the USS Enterprise, CVN-80, in 1/350 scale, but there is not one out there yet t be had...and they may not make one in time for me...so I talked the wfe into the good old Ronnie instead and am really excited about it.
