This is an entire Amphibious Ready Group in 1/350 scale. These are the US Marines major Amphibious Units that allow them to attack and take enemy shores.

They do it with a combination of Landing craft (LCAC-Landing Craft Air Cushion and LCU-Landing Craft Utility) for Amphibious Assault, as well as Air Assault using Osprey, Chinook and Sea Stallion helicopters. The Main amphibious part of each of these groups (including this one) consists of:

1 - LHD, Wasp (or America) Class Amphibious assault ship
1 - LPD, San Anotni Class Amphibious ship
1 - LSD, Harpers Ferry or Whidbely Island Landing Ship Dock

The Defense of the group is handled by two frigates (in this case two Indpendence Class LCS vessels), two destroyers (two Arleigh Burke class AEGIS destroyers) , one Cruiser (A Ticonderoga class AEGIS cruiser) and one nuclear attack submarine (in this case a FLight III Advanced class Loas Angeles nuclear attack submarine).

This group specifically consists of the following. all in 1/350 scale:

LHD-7, USS Iwo Jima, Wasp class by Gallery Model
LPD-21, USS New York San Antonio Class by Galley Model
LSD-49, USS Harpers Ferry, Harpers Ferry Class by Orange Hobby
CG-53, USS Mobile Bay Aegis Ticonderoga by Dragon models
DDG-82, USS Lassen, Burkle Flight IIA by Trumpeter
DDG-68, USS The Sullivans Burke Flight II by Dragon Models
LSD-2 Independence, Independence Class by Trumpeter
LSD-4, USS Coronado Independence Class by Bronco Models
SSN-64, USS Boise, Advanced LA Class submarine, Dragon Models

These are very powerful groups and the US Navy has ten separate full groups. They have four available at all times and could surge up to seven if required.

Be sure to see all of my various groupings of 1/350 scale models on youtube.
