Arabian Sea (Nov. 10, 2006) – Responding to a distress call, Sailors assigned to a rescue and assistance team from the U.S. Navy guided-missile cruiser USS Anzio (CG 68), provide aid to the motor vessel SINAA, a 35-meter Iranian-flagged dhow. Anzio supplied the dhow with water, fuel and food to sustain her crew of 24 for their transit home. Anzio is deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (IKE CSG) supporting Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in the 5th Fleet area of operations. Don't know the exact models, but the first ones looks like Sea Sparrow on a Nimiz maybe? Second one maybe RAM?

The first picture was taken on the USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76. I know one of the guys in the picture.

Maybe this is a really stupid question, but can VLS be reloaded at sea, or do ships have to come back to port to have them reloaded? Same question with the harpon launchers.

No they cannot be reloaded at sea. The ship needs to be inport. The reloading is not that difficult.

Fort Pickett, Va. (Jan. 23, 2007) – Sailors assigned to Riverine Squadron One (RIVRON-1), based at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, train aboard Small Unit River Craft (SURC), during a unit-level training exercise. RIVRON-1 is part of the newly formed Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC).
