Russia will not take Ukraine in war because they can lose. Russia will take Baltikum in war because they have smaller Army Group. But Estonia have big reserv force if Russia go there with 40.000-50.000 troops Estonia bring the action with 60.000 troops without NATO's help. NATO only help Estonia if Russia bring smaller troops in action. 5000 troops from NATO are there all ready. Plus 3000 ground forces by Estonia's 1st size. 400 + 400 in Naval and Air Force if I known right nows.

Why would Russia occupy these countries, what would be the advantage?

And that means?

Russia will have more countries in Euroasia Union.
The damage done by a war would not be compensated by the addition of a few small countries. Besides Russia might well expect the EU to abandon this policy of hostility towards it because of the damage it is doing to itself. Then all of EU would accede to an economic area reaching from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the North Polar Sea to the Indian Ocean.

Cursory update to the flight MH17 investigation, better than nothing I guess. Going in the expected direction of determining who actually shot the plane down and pursuing them, which is fair enough, but no examination of why a civilian plane was flying over an active war zone in the first place and how perhaps that shouldn't be allowed to happen in the future, any culpability there?

Dutch shift focus in MH17 crash to investigating culprits
THE HAGUE | BY TOBY STERLING

(Reuters) - The Dutch government said on Thursday that, with nearly all of the victims of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 identified, efforts had shifted to finding those responsible for shooting the plane down as it crossed Ukraine last July.

Foreign Minister Bert Koenders said, after meeting counterparts from Malaysia, Ukraine and Australia on the sidelines of a cyber-security conference in The Hague, that there was agreement on pushing ahead with justice.

"Now that we're very far with repatriation (of the victims' remains), investigation and prosecution are becoming more central," Koenders said in a statement.

"The ministers believe that prosecution is not only important for the countries with victims onboard. Civil aviation is vulnerable and every safety violation is a concern shared worldwide."

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over rebel-held territory in eastern Ukraine on July 17, and all 298 aboard were killed.

Forensics laboratories in the Netherlands have identified remains of 296 victims and recovered large parts of the wreckage for the investigation.

Prosecutors are testing the theory that the plane was shot down by a surface-to-air BUK missile fired from an area held by pro-Russian forces.

Because two-thirds of the victims were Dutch citizens, the Netherlands is leading several post-crash investigations.
