I find it interesting that I need to scan the headlines of various periodical to find information on certain topics. My usual sources are:

Well, I'd say that if the rebel forces launched a heavy tank assault against the Ukraine position, which they were able to repel (probably with a lot of heavy fire), that any cease-fire, by definition is over.

That seems pretty obvious to me.

The cease fire has been violated daily so people were just happy that violence was much less that it was before. But this tank assault seems not to be reported outside Ukraine, except by AFP, so it seems to have been just internal propaganda. The Donbass people say that their positions in this village were attacked by artillery.

Yeah... those are clearly civilians under artillery attack not soldiers trying to move forwards. Keep on spinning.

KYIV, August 14 /Ukrinform/. The death toll of Ukrainian army, National Guard, police forces totaled 366 killed in action and 429 wounded servicemen in the last year's tragedy at the city of Ilovaisk, 40 kilometers southeast of Donetsk.

Deputy Attorney General of Ukraine, Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios told reporters while presenting expert opinions on the events related to the military operation in the city of Ilovaisk, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The loss of personnel suffered by Ukrainian Armed Forces, National Guard, the police forces totaled 366 servicemen and policemen killed, 429 persons were injured, 128 servicemen were taken prisoner, 158 servicemen are missing at present," he said.

Maitos noted that because of the tragedy at Ilovaisk Ukraine lost military equipment and weapons worth UAH 298.29 million.
