055 DDG Large Destroyer Thread

I have to say, Dalian's pace of construction is incredible. It felt like only last week that we saw the modules for #3 and #4 in drydock for the first time.

Are we sure that those modules right infront of those two 055s are twin 052Ds? Maybe they are also 055s.

If you look at the picture here, you can see that the two hulls in front of the 055s are distinctively smaller, so it's a safe bet that they're 052Ds. The big hulk to the right of the drydock is almost certainly a 055, though.

The fact that the flag is already pinned up under the bridge should be indication enough that the answer is 'probably really soon, like, really soon'.

If you start building two ships at the same time, and build them at the same rate, of course they are going to be ready at the same time. It doesn't mean anything.

Not if you consider the man power, funding and construction equipment that are involved in such an undertaking. Not many nations can afford to construct multiple cruiser-class ships at once during peace time. And this is on top of the already dizzy construction rate of existing destroyers, frigates and corvettes, etc,etc.

for some countries it seems extraordinary. for China it's no big deal, it's just a walk in the park.

If they launch 2 from DL before 28th of June that’s 4 launched in 12 months!!! Wow
