If the window scheme is 4-7-4, then it's changed from the mock-up which has 3-5-3.

Both the front and side windows look too widely spaced on the mockup, so it would definitely make sense for the production model to have a 4/7/4 window arrangement.

Original source is admin of naval section of haohanfw.com BBS which is barred to new members until they reach a certain rank.

In addition to J16's post, the admin also mentioned the "ears" of the 055's superstructure does indeed exist on the real thing. I'm assuming he's talking about the platforms on either side of the bridge.

the mock up a year or so back had its window arrangement changed to 4-7-4 too -- this photo shows it in the middle the change, where (presumably) the two side 4 window panels are in, and the middle 5 of the 7 window panels are in.

No actual photographs yet, but Haohan Defense gave us some new CGI updates, presumably of the first ship under construction.

Here is another CG showing double helicopter hangars.

That is going to be a very beautiful ship with fantastic lines, and a great deal of capability.

Like the Ticonderoga Cruisers, the the Se Jong the Great DDGs from Korea, it will take its place as a class amongst the most powerful surface warships on earth.

The US has 22 Ticonderoga cruisers...I expect China will end up with at least 12 if njot 16 of these.

Korea has three Se Jongs and is planning ob building two or three more.

I have to give the PLAN credit for buildingtheir way up to this...and apparently willing to committ to them in a big way when building four at once.

I wonder what happened to the artillery piece.

I don't want to sound too snarky, but take a guess.

The answer is probably quite a simple one and is normal for most ships with weapon mounts during construction.

Remember your previous post about something similar to AGS on the Zumwalt? I am now tempted to believe that 055 could have something similar.

Er my position on that issue was that 055 may feature an enclosed gun mount, but not that it will have a new gun like AGS. It will likely have the same 130mm gun as 052D.

But that's irrelevant to your question -- you're wondering why it lacks a gun. The answer is that (regardless of what kind of gun it will end up having, whether it's the H/PJ-38 as it most likely will be, or something else which it most likely won't be), is just because the ship is still in a relatively stage of assembly/construction where the gun has yet to be installed, as such weapons are usually only installed onto the ship at a later point of construction before launch, and may sometimes only be installed on the ship after launch.

The CG indicate the bulbous forefoot does not protrude below the keel line. This suggests the bulb does not house a US style spherical hydrophone array. Does this ship have a underkeel retractable sonar dome?
