Can someone dig out the Japanese Kongo/Atago costings?

I remember seeing them a long time ago, but the documents were in Japanese.

If 052D cost $500M, then it's likely 055 cost about $700-$800M Good bang for the buck.

Right ;) in more a 055 get a weapons load twice more big and more capable for ASW with 2 better helos than 052D.
I think both process are far to short...even in China.

More like 750 million for the Type 052D fully outfitted, and 1.25 billion for the Type 055 fully outfitted.

...and both of those are a heck of a deal.

But that's just me.

54A $250mil 4000tons
52D $500mil 7500 tons
055 $750mil 11K tons

It has a very linear relationship, for every 4000 tons addition, you simply slap on additional $250mil

These numbers sound far more reasonable to me.

Do you have a source for this or are you just pulling it from your own head?

Sorry...but to me that is a gross oversimplification.

The types of armament, the types of sensors, the types of propulsion, and many other things necessary fr the different functions of each of those classes do not ad up in such a linear fashion.

Those numbers I seen in publication.
Higher or even Lower in actuality, I don't know.
