Ok, so that's what I thought originally. In which case I still don't agree with your conclusions. But I do agree there is not much more to discuss without any more photographic evidence.

they said each 055 cost about 750 million usd.

What des that price include?

I find it difficult that they will get one, fully outfitted with all sensors and weapons for that price.

Depending on how much the 052D cost we can probably extrapolate from there.
Ships' costs vary between nations for obvious reasons but generally speaking they would cost less in a place like China due to cheaper labor, union fees, middlemen, less overhead costs, supply chain and to some extent materials. I would presume the government contract is significantly less as well due to lack of lobbyists and political meddling.

"They" sure say a lot, don't they? IMO this number is about as meaningless as randomly picking a number between $500 million and $1 billion. As long as it's somewhere in that range and said with enough authority, some poor gullible soul (or fanboi) will believe you......

Oh, I am not doubting that it is cheaper than a western nation could produce, I just find it difficult that once they get into their advanced APARS, all the other sensors and weapon systems, etc., that even they could get it close to that number.

I think we can envisaged a price superior of 30 % minimum

According Henri K a reliable French watcher
Selon mes sources, chaque destroyer de Type 052D coûte aux alentours de 3 Md de Yuan, soit environ 400M€ unitaire

I find it hard to believe anyone outside the naval shipbuilding industry can just throw out these numbers and expect people to take them at face value. What is the basis of this €400 million? His personal estimate based on his intimate knowledge of labor costs, construction times, commodities prices, and hardware/software costs including R&D?

I used to think 5 billion RMB ($750million USD) for a Type-55 and 4 billion RMB ($600million USD) for a Type-52D was too low, but I'm coming around to these figures.

The US sells AEGIS sets for $750million (eg. Japan), and the Japanese build the rest of the vessel for $500-700million.

But remember that some years ago, a Russian S-300 battery used to cost China about $120-$150 million, but nowadays the HQ-9 used in the Type-52D would presumably cost less and would have better capabilities.

And if I look at China's requirements, they don't need very long-range BMD capabilities like we see with the AMDR/SPY-3/S-500 - as this drives up the radar cost significantly.
