I was wondering too. It has a room only for one helicopter.

The single hangar was a major giveaway.

But the side boat davits, as well as the door cutouts next to the hangar, as well as the VDS cutout on the aft, and the general size and configuration should have made it super obvious that it was 052D at a moment's glance.

堪称经典的054系列护卫舰
054及054A型护卫舰的出现,其威武美观的外观让人们眼前一亮,堪称经典,054型护卫舰的酝酿始于上个世纪90年代初期,前后进行了近10年的论证和预研,并于1999年11月11日开始了总体方案设计。054A型护卫舰于2002年5月开始总体方案设计,2003年年8月完成技术设计。此后,中国海军大量采购了054A型护卫舰,目前总数估计约在25艘左右。

054型护卫舰可算是054A型护卫舰的过度型号,两者的平台部分基本一致,主要的区别在于作战系统的差异。054型护卫舰的出现有其一定的原因,导致这样状况的原因在于部分新研制的设备及分系统的研制进度上的滞后。在上个世纪80、90年代,是中国军事工业发展的缓慢期甚至停滞期,出现这样的状况毫不奇怪,当时国家对军事工业的投入严重不足,这使得很多军工产品的研制周期进度缓慢,而这一情况直至上个世纪末期及本世纪初期才开始得到改变,客观的说,是美国的一再羞辱中国和台独的猖獗等外部因素引起了中国内部因素的变化,颇有“知耻而后勇”的意味。

舰艇的平台是设备和系统的载体,设备的研制进度在很大程度上影响平台的进度,两者是相辅相成的。在新的设备研制进度滞后时,不得已先用老型号的电子武器在新平台上安装,如沿用AJK02导弹武器系统、沿用360雷达设备等等,这就导致出现了054型护卫舰“新瓶装老酒”的状况。054型与054A型护卫舰的平台一致,但054A型因换装和增加了新的设备,故此排水量后者比前者大了几十吨。如果没有上述原因的话,我们换个角度也可以这么说,今天的054A型原本应该是054型护卫舰。

晚于054型护卫舰平台的设备主要有382雷达、366雷达、鱼-8型火箭助飞鱼雷和AJK-16导弹武器系统等,AJK-16导弹武器系统中的难点主要是HQ-16舰对空中程导弹。其中,382雷达在2002年年底才完成正样机的研制;而366雷达在2004年才完成正样机试验;AJK-16导弹武器系统也是在2004年才进行陆上闭合回路试验;鱼-8型火箭助飞鱼雷则是在2006年才完成定型试验,这些装备的研制进度均比054型舰的立项晚了数年。这里需要指出的是,054A相较于054型护卫舰,在平台部分和总体性能上也进行了部分的改进,如采用了钛合金球鼻艏和区域集体防护等技术,在电磁兼容性设计上也进行了优化设计,此外还增设了水声对抗系统。

366型舰载微波主/被动超视距雷达有5个工作频段,其中一个为主动探测系统频段,可覆盖360度方位工作,在主动方式工作时,最大处理目标数量为被动方式工作时的三倍,在不同的工作方式下,其探测距离也不同,主动工作方式又有正常大气条件下和大气波导条件下的工作方式。每个频段的探测距离均不相同,其中某频段的探测距离超过300公里,这意味着本舰舰载雷达就可以引导舰对舰导弹进行超视距攻击,而无需舰载直升机升空引导。366型超视距雷达还有一种协同定位工作方式,366雷达与俄罗斯MINERAL-ME雷达相比。采用了更为先进的协同定位工作方式。

中国海军的382型三坐标雷达与俄罗斯的MR710三坐标“顶板”雷达外观有点相似,但工作方式并不完全相同。382型三坐标雷达有两个工作波段及两部发射机,每个发射机的峰值功率为100KW,天线最大俯仰角达70度。382型三坐标雷达具有对空警戒搜索、超低空搜索和对海搜索功能,并有两种目标指示工作方式,每转航迹处理能力超过100批,对空探测距离达数百公里。
红旗-16中程舰对空导弹由航天八院自主研制,用于攻击中程飞行目标,并具有拦截来袭的舰对舰导弹能力,AJK-16导弹武器系统性能优良、可靠性高。红旗-16舰空导弹于2004年在酒泉进行了陆上试验后转入海上试验。红旗-16中程舰空导弹目前已经形成系列,现已发展至红旗-16C型。

由于上述的原因,054型护卫舰为过度型号而并未形成批量生产,在建造两艘后即转为建造054A型护卫舰。而在054型护卫舰建造中,中国海军还追加了053H3型护卫舰的采购。053H3型护卫舰的造价大致只有054型舰的一半,成熟度较高,但其综合作战能力则基本接近054型舰。在当时全军对台军事斗争准备的背景下,海军迫切需要新的舰艇来弥补老旧舰艇数量和质量上的不足,此时继续建造053H3型护卫舰也就顺理成章。随着中国军事船舶技术的不断取得突破,2011年,中国海军已启动了新一代护卫舰054B型的研制。


凤凰涅盘浴火重生的055大型驱逐舰
1968年2月,海军党委向主管军工生产和军队装备的聂荣臻元帅并中央军委提出《关于建造远洋护航舰船的建议》的报告,七院根据此报告向有关所下达了开展大型火炮导弹舰战术技术和方案论证的任务,确定设计代号为055。1970年8月,国务院、中央军委决定开始该舰的研制工作,将055舰交给舰船技术能力雄厚的上海市为主研制。同年9月,成立由沪东造船厂、北海舰队和701研究所参加的055舰三结合研制组,全国数百个配套研究所和设备生产厂参与了该项目。

1976年3月,国务院和中央军委以国发【1976】19号文件正式向国防工办、第六机械工业部等有关单位下达了055大型导弹驱逐舰的研制任务并拨出项目专款。但是055型导弹驱逐舰这一型号因故未能延续下去,1981年,国防科委和国家机械委联合决定,将055型导弹驱逐舰从正式型号研制改列为预先研究,而这也为055大型驱逐舰的重生埋下了伏笔。

当年055型导弹驱逐舰研制项目的夭折,有很多方面的原因,而主要的因素是研制任务书所提出的要求超出了当时我国军事科研水平。当时国内研制能力无法研制满足任务书规定的性能指标要求的设备,如联合动力装置舰用燃气轮机和柴油机、舰载反潜直升机系统、电子对抗系统、舰空导弹系统、水声对抗系统、综合通信系统、对空预警雷达、三座标雷达、火箭助飞鱼雷等等。这些都成为当时055项目研制几乎无法逾越的门槛。

而这一状况一直延续到后来052型导弹驱逐舰的研制中,052型导弹驱逐舰在研制过程中,采取了“弯道超车”的方式,购买了七个国家的先进设备,加上国内的设备和平台,故此被业内戏称为“八国联军”;而052型驱逐舰的研制周期前后历经近10年,号称“十年磨一舰”,可见当时我国驱逐舰研制之路的艰难。

在时间进入本世纪后,055大型驱逐舰项目再次被提上议事日程,2009年12月20日,055大型驱逐舰的综合立项在北京通过审查。经过初步设计和深化设计等一系列缜密的设计过程和审查程序后,055大型驱逐舰开始了工程建造阶段。055大型驱逐舰的研制,将极大增强中国海军的实力,特别是远洋作战的能力。

055型驱逐舰为万吨级大型驱逐舰,具有较大的排水量、较快的航速、较高的续航力、较长的自持力和很好的全球适航性。舰型采用降低噪声特征、红外特征及电磁特征的隐身性设计,并具有良好的居住性和舰员生活保障条件。该舰具有强悍的单舰综合作战能力,具有远、中、近三层软硬武器先期预警防御网和攻击火力网。具有防空、反潜、反舰和对陆攻击能力及综合立体战能力,并具备综合立体群指能力。

055型驱逐舰是中国海军目前技术水平最高的舰型,而这其中尤以电子信息化水平为甚。055型驱逐舰的研制还倒逼出一个可喜的结果,就是中国军事造船的行业和专业条块划分被打破。原航空、航天、信息、船舶、兵器等各工业集团,从建国之初发展至今都有很大的进步,各有“两把刷子”,本行业、专业都形成了大而全的局面,在本专业内都是佼佼者。但是,各行业、专业在发展上相对条块分割、界限明显。

这种状况已不适合现在各项技术和装备大融合的时期,缺点也就随之暴露了出来。各个设备或分系统都是功能齐全应有尽有,可是不同单位的设备之间存在功能重复和冗余过剩的状况,比如通用垂直发射系统,不同的弹种各有自己的发控设备而不是一套设备全部控制;再比如,不同的通信、导航和电子战设备各有自己的天线,导致舰上天线林立,这不但造成舰容美观上的问题,而且对隐身性和电磁兼容性都带来很大的问题。这样的现状不但是一种严重的浪费,还对舰艇平台的舱容提出了过高的要求并导致平台的排水量过大、电力消耗过大、舰员人数过多等很多问题。

055型驱逐舰在预研时所面对的就是上述情况,按照既定的战术技术指标,用现有的设备去实现既定功能和指标的话,则平台的排水量将会超过20000吨。中国军方对此极为重视,总部和海军召集各行业各集团相关单位开会,至上而下推动了融合集成工作,要求各方面打破集团利益和行业利益,以大局为重,以国防为重。经过各方努力,这一工作取得了很大的进展,一些新的标准规范被制定出来,总体设计采用顶层设计、层层分解的方式,优化架构的合理性和集成度,指挥与控制一体化;实现标准信息、通用基准完全共享,设备小型化、通用化、集成化、标准化,而这些取得了关键性的突破的技术也将在其它型号的舰船所采用。

Yep, I think this is the 055 we've all been waiting for.

what makes you believe so? I only see parts of the hull being built. I dont see anything that would make it distinguishable from 052 ship (although you must know more about it than me. I havent posted too often lately).

First of all, note that the original picture is actually two pictures -- one is of the speculated 055 module, while the other picture shows some 052D modules. So we are talking about the first picture.

Regarding the speculated 055 module, we know it definitely isn't 052D.
The most obvious tell tale sign is the lack of side cutouts for the RHIB davits -- if it were a module for 052D, we would see cutouts in the side of the hull module at that particular part of the hull (part of flight deck + hangar structure).
The draft and beam ratio of the speculated module for 055 is also quite different to the same part of the hull for 052D.
Then of course, there's the fact that we're being told this module is for 055 from the BBS without too much doubt coming from there. (and we've been expecting modules for 055 for a while now ever since we were told that steel was being cut in late 2014)
Put all the above factors together and the case for that module being for 055 is quite reasonably high at this point in time.

Also, A-man's post of the 052D aft hull module in post 1828 is actually a perfect example of what the 052D's flight deck + hangar structure looks like. Note the highly obvious side cutouts for the RHIB davits, as well as other features on the 052D module which are not present on the speculated 055 module.

I see. Is that image on JN shipyards or is it at dalian?

Superstructure looks the same on the mock up, but why type 348? It's also weird that the Wuhan mock up hasn't been seen with the 052d aesa arrays either.

Crossposting this from CDF in relation to the same picture...

I have a few possible explanations for why they're using a 346.

1: this isn't related to 055 and is an old picture from once upon a time that's just managed to surface again.... OR...
2: the use of a 346 array rather than a 346A array could just be out of convenience; the 346 might be reusing an existing test stand from the 052C days, and seeing as 346 and 346A was thought to operate on the same band (and likely have many other similar EM characteristics), it was cheaper to just fit an older 346 array instead of producing a new and expensive 346A just for test purposes.

I sincerely doubt that that 055 will be using the 346 rather than the 346A
