Nothing is confirmed, but I've a vague feeling that there was a rumor about it some time ago.

They are building modules for the carrier at a place with a 150-meters-dock.
I thought so too, but I’m waiting for some kind of confirmation that those modules are for the carrier.
I think the most reasonable explanation is that it's just some random module that's been artistically depicted in a way that could possibly be construed as a ramp.
At this stage of discussion about 003 I think we need some serious heavy hitting testimonies to entertain the idea that it is not a CATOBAR carrier, more than a drawing with a module that just happens to be slightly round.

IF 003 is possibly not a CATOBAR than why not continue building the same type of ship in the Dalian ship yard? I mean that way you can keep the same personnel, engineers, managers, workers and equipment in the same place with the extensive they already posses from 002.
They want to build carriers at both shipyards.
They may want to build carriers at both yards. Perhaps they want to get the new yard up to speed building an existing design (which is understood) while Dalian gets upgraded to build the newer carriers.
Or maybe Dalian lost out in some internal struggle for which yard was to build the carriers.
We need more pictures of what the new yard is doing and we need to see what gets done at Dalian, if and when the next carrier gets started there.
