Nice try. I am not going to rise to the bait. What you think I am is immaterial (and wrong) and nothing but an emotional response on your part.

However, I do suggest you go back and read my posts and tell me where I discussed this carrier tracking ability as something that only China can do. It's not.
In fact Machine Learning and image recognition is table stakes in the world of AI and relatively easy when it comes to something as simple as ships.

So let's get back to the facts (of which I have yet to see any from you, btw).

Carrier tracking and even ship tracking in general using subs, hydrophones and sonar arrays is nothing new. For the last 30 years the US and other countries have developed databases of ships where they can identify them based on their sound alone (using speed, machinery and working sounds, cavitation and others) and track them. This is not used just for carriers, but for all ships. Although, submarines are of particular interest by all parties. When it comes to military vessels, when there is (maybe) 50,000 total world wide, that's not a very big database. And the ability to match on sounds existed decades ago even without AI.

Here is just a little sample of what I am talking about: https://www.theatlantic.com/technol...-ocean-sounds-collected-by-scientists/378630/

But, hey keep burying your head in the ground and pretending it's not possible.

Besides, large ships can also be tracked using gaofen 4 like geo satellites. With the visible spectrum resolution of 50m and infrared resolution of 400m, it can't actually 'spy' on activities aboard the ship, however should be enough to keep track of movements of a carrier. It can be providing persistent surveillance of the movement to cue the satellites in low earth orbit and medium earth orbit to target designated area so that they can further provide accurate info about specifics like aircraft carried etc. Its well established that Chinese satellites have capability of revisiting any point within SCS, Taiwan and mainland China once every 30 minutes(60° from azimuth) . This should be enough to provide precise info about whereabouts of a carrier, since it probably won't move more than 30 kilometres in that time.

That would require reading and comprehending the above posts and the linked articles.
At this point it appears that is too much work and his only real goal is argument and walking around simply saying "Does not".

Following your logic then nobody would be building airfields since satellites can image it...? I don't really get you.

Guys ... either you stop and come back to the topic or I'll have to clean that thread.

Very interesting. Any idea of the imagery source that was used for this? If we knew true orientation of the photo and wind direction at the time, we could likely improve the chance it was flight ops.
