They modified the ship island building, and the windows of the front and rear bridges were changed to large window doors.

Figure 1 below is the old photo of 001A, and Figure 2 is the new photo.

I can not detect any changes to the windows except that protective covers have been removed.

The seemingly more windows in the old photo is likely due to the shadow of lots of cables/wires hanging from the top during fitting. You can see that in the old photo, the glasses were not installed.

But those must be older ones, The Liaoning has still the old coat on deck! Or am I wrong?

Welcome aboard anzha!!

All I know is that they were taken after CV-17 returned from her sea trials in May of this year.

Years ago dates on any PLA photos use to be an real issue. At least now we have this;



..which is an "official" photo page of the PLA with up to date photos in HI-RES.

I think Henrik those photos are dated. We can see that atm the 16 is still having the deck refinished and it's only about half done.
