When China was handing out lucrative casino licenses in Macau, Trump was supposedly trying to obtain one himself and when China turned him down, he resented it like how Manhattan looked down at Trump because he was from Queens. Trump tried buying an NFL team also and look how he's taking his revenge out on the NFL today.

People have lost sight because it happens so may times these days that it's illegal for campaign donors to expect something in return for their campaign donation.

PRC should not give a shit and lead to a world of cooperativity and mutual trust. Bullying and trade wars are "tres banal et passe"

Still waiting, China will become " rogue" if more Western countries joined US trade block like Canada and Mexico and Slump used up his final tariff like remaing $267 billion goods.

Former Soviet couldn't be defeated by Reagan if it has a domestic economy equivalent to China nowadays

China would become more like Soviet militarily from now on.

PRC is already (militarily) in a proccess that US would think very carefully to be involved to. Don't forget the "pax atomica" which is the real thing over conventional military. I think that humanity is about to face the very contradictions of capitalist economic system which is finite and it's a excellent fortune for humanity of PRC having "the knife and the pie" too. Really hasn't come to that yet. The US reigns in their boys and China refrains from giving nukes, bio and chem weapons to all the "rogue" groups and nations. There's tacit agreement here. US allows Taiwan to declare independence and offers full military support in the coming conflict, arms Japan to the teeth, and enlists all her allies, then China will be forced to act similarly.

There are far more people around who despise the current power status than not, and there are far more ways for China to improve her propaganda game whereas the western nations have little more cards to play in that arena. Whether China is willing to do this and can properly arm those people are another issue. Supporting North Korea is the tip of the iceberg in terms of what headache they can give the US. Understanding these consequences, even the mighty USA treads a little carefully when dealing with China starting with warnings for a full-blown trade war. If China were a defenseless victim, they would have been attacked long ago. Russia and China are pretty much the only two non-Washington aligned powers that the US actually respects and is cautious of. If it weren't for China, Kim would have gone the way of Gaddafi and Saddam many years ago, probably well before he managed a fission weapon.

There's also the key question of Israel here. China is neutral towards Israel and quite positive towards Jewish people. Israel has the strongest lobby power and China can give all the Israel haters plenty more tools then they will ever need to completely conquer it by force. That would not serve China's interests but it is useful in keeping the US at bay. Just mass producing those rockets and giving them to the anti-zionist groups will be enough to flatten most of the settled areas in Israel. There are not enough interceptor missiles to defeat each rocket. So the more the US conscripts and arms her allies against China, the more China should push back in different ways, just like this trade-war. They will find it won't be an easy task to "win", if at all possible.

Israel knows that if China give support to its opponents it will have tough time. . that's why it try hard to please China like giving Haifa sea port to China business control.

But Israel serves US majorr interest in the middle East. Then comes to point when China needs to go against it.

China has bunch antistealth radar, it would be interesting if deployed at Syria to track Israel F35.

China seeks Japan's economic cooperation amid trade war with US
BEIJING (Kyodo) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday called on Japanese business leaders to bolster economic cooperation, as a tit-for-tat tariff trade war between China and the United States has been escalating.

"Along with Japan, we would like to protect the multilateral trade system and develop free trade," Li told a Japanese group composed of former Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda and Hiroaki Nakanishi, chairman of the Japan Business Federation, known as Keidanren.

Nakanishi, head of Japan's most powerful business lobby, expressed willingness to deepen economic exchanges with China, at a time when relations between the two nations have been markedly improving recently.

In September, Li also held talks with Japanese business leaders, including Nakanishi, as China has been accelerating efforts to improve ties with its neighboring countries against a backdrop of the deterioration of relations with the United States.

The Sino-Japan relationship has "returned to a normal development track," Li said. Pledging that China will promote its reform and opening-up policy further, the premier voiced hope for more investment from Japan.....

That is Japanese paper's interpretation. Actually, China is offering Japan economic cooperation that it has offered everyone, because that is what big trade nations do. Additionally, it would help Japan from being thrown around like a rag-doll by the US. Believe it or not, we Chinese have no problem helping Japan. The US is the only country in the world that can be China's rival; Japan is too small and doesn't qualify. Because of that, as Asians, it brings us no pleasure or satisfaction at all to see another Asian country like Japan crushed and cowed to a Western country's demands, so China offers cooperation. If Japan doesn't want to accept; if Japan wants to go midget vs. giant as Trump threatens to crumple Tokyo's economy unless it bows to him, be my guest. China will keep growing and developing like China always has with only hostilities from Japan. It doesn't stop anything.
