Alright! We are now getting a few pics of what types of testing they are doing. They are doing approaches to the carrier from F/A-18s, they are standing watches, doing security, they are doing boat handling. Landing helos on deck, doing maneuvering and standing watch/station on the bridge.

This is just for starters...but pretty neat to see. Here's another ten photos of her out to sea:

Yes Jeff she's at sea...and I see you've taken advantage of GFR facebook photos. And you all know this;

Now that Gerald R Ford is "haze grey and underway" we WON"T have to WAIT for photos and information...unclassified information that is.

..no we won't!

No fuzzy photos, no guess work, no wondering. Most unclassified information will be easy to see.

love the F/A-18 approach photo and it flying by overhead.

This means they are testing the landing radar and approach instrumentation on the very first sea builders trials.

I expected the manuevering, the security, the helos, the ship's launches, watertight integrity,e tc. But I did not think they would get started on the air ops in any way...and they may not be landing, but they are testing the apporach.

GREAT stuff!

GO NAVY!
