GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Aug. 21, 2015) Joseph V. Agbingpadua, one of the first recipients of the Recruit Honor Graduate Ribbon, is honored at a reception following his Navy Recruit Training Command Graduation. Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Ray Mabus approved the award to recognize initial accession enlisted personnel who demonstrate superior performance throughout basic military training in the areas of academics, physical readiness, recruit leadership and commitment to the Navy Core Values. Honor Graduates earning the ribbon will be authorized to wear it during the graduation ceremony. Well, that confirms it...and as usual, you are spot on my friend.

She out to sea...but working up for deployment.

And that is fine by me.

A carrier that is out to sea is available for the CINC to send to protect the nation's interests in any emergency.

Three available right now at a moment's notice to send to where needed.

And we both know...that in a pinch, they could get three to five others underway within a day or two if they had to.

During Desert Storm 6 on the area and for Iraqi Freedom 5 but with a total of 10 now more difficult so let' s 11 and you can have it :)

Depends on the situation. Those were for war scenarios, but not when the US itself was directly and imminently threatened.

They could surge 8 in a very dire, national emergency.

....Nearly simultaneously....stay tuned!

Plus Theodore Roosevelt will be deployed in the IO/Persian Gulf region..

In 2004 the USN had 7 carrier strike groups deployed at a the same time.

CHARLESTOWN, Mass (Aug. 18, 2015) A Seabee diver with Construction Dive Detachment Alfa (CDD/A) of Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1 enters the water to conduct a port security barrier mooring system inspection at the Charlestown Navy Yard. This particular barrier acts as a buffer between the USS Constitution and the rest of the harbor. The purpose of the inspection is to verify the structural integrity of the mooring chains.
